I heard the iPad Mini 9 will have an espresso shot maker in it.

This means nothing till it is about to be released. It is always nice to learn about possible updates- but let's stay in the zone of less than a year or so before something comes out

I know, I mentioned this tablet in my comment. 2024 version doesn’t have a global release yet, the 2023 version launched outside China in March.

Thank you for mentioning this thing

This just shot to the top of my interest list

I'd also LOVE to be able to run a full, real, web browser

Since I'm not in the EU, that isn't coming to my iPad anytime soon (if ever)

Too bad I'll never buy another mini, or more accurately, "Who cares" I'll never buy another mini.

I bought one for drone flying, but have enough other iPhone emergency-use phones to ever need another mini.

The mini is too big for physical convenience, too small for iOS ease of use.

This is what the 7th gen mini should have been!

This is just like the "updated" AirPods Max that only had its port change from lightning to USB-C, all while retaining the same H1 chip the original did

Talk about a salp to the face

Mac’s need oled asap, apples most expensive machines shouldn’t have an inferior screen to apples budget devices
That and also Face ID

Don't get me wrong, I love Touch ID on my M2 MacBook Air, but with how they have the notch now on the MacBook lineup, I still find it surprising how they still haven't found a way to cram the tech to make Face ID work into there

There really needs to be an ipad pro mini so the regular mini can be cheaper. They probably don’t sell enough to justify it, but as of now the mini‘s too expensive to be the low end kids’ tablet it used to be and too compromised to satisfy users who’d pay that much for something smaller with a good display and Face ID, and ends up satisfying neither group.

Well said

The more I look at that Lenovo, the more interested I’m getting here

That screen massively peaks my interest
8.8” 16:10 160hz 1600p
😋

Only missing OLED for the complete coup de grâce

Will be good to finally have OLED on iPad mini. However not expecting to see the next version for at least another 2 years.

Mini 7 was such a underwhelming update that we're already talking about what's next.
Same for the iPhone and most recently introduced Apple hardware. I sometimes wonder if there’s just one engineer working for a multi trillion company because it seems they can only focus on one product at a time. Never a whole lineup upgrade. And after the release it’s get neglected for years.

I hope Apple will notice when people are not attempting to buy. The internet is all over this lazy update:
As much as some spring all this humor, poking/jabbing at Apple for web hits, its still doesn't detract from the mini's size for being highly portable/useful device IMHO. Yes I got one, because I get about half off the price in trade in after 3 years one month of a mini 6. Double the RAM, double the storage, better CPU then A15, really not that bad a deal for what I paid with base to base model upgrade. Now to wait till 2026 for a iPad mini 8 with OLED, that takes a lot of patience . :D

Worth remembering there wasnt much difference between a mini 2/3/4 either.
slight upgrades to processor.

sure it's been three years since last one, but you now get a processor compatible with coming AI and more base memory.

yes, it's still too expensive comapred to the base iPad.
but it is what it is.
you like a smaller device, that's what it costs.

battery life on my 6 isnt what it was. but this 7 isnt going to get me to upgrade. but then do I really need to? the 6 works...
