Yep, and these are likely the next updates for both devices.Apple’s OLED roadmap was leaked earlier this year, according to which the iPad Air is getting OLED in 2026, the mini in 2027.
There is a refresh of the iPad Air coming soon: https://www.macrumors.com/guide/2025-ipad-air/Yep, and these are likely the next updates for both devices.
That and also Face IDMac’s need oled asap, apples most expensive machines shouldn’t have an inferior screen to apples budget devices
They’re always talking about what’s next.Mini 7 was such a underwhelming update that we're already talking about what's next.
Like night follows day. Something you can count on.and now the "hurry up and update the mini" posts begin...
whinging = engagement
There really needs to be an ipad pro mini so the regular mini can be cheaper. They probably don’t sell enough to justify it, but as of now the mini‘s too expensive to be the low end kids’ tablet it used to be and too compromised to satisfy users who’d pay that much for something smaller with a good display and Face ID, and ends up satisfying neither group.

I hope Apple will notice when people are not attempting to buy. The internet is all over this lazy update:Mini 7 was such a underwhelming update that we're already talking about what's next.
I just happened to watch that review before coming here - pretty damningI hope Apple will notice when people are not attempting to buy. The internet is all over this lazy update:
Yep, but sadly it’s how Apple is taking its business today.I just happened to watch that review before coming here - pretty damning
Same for the iPhone and most recently introduced Apple hardware. I sometimes wonder if there’s just one engineer working for a multi trillion company because it seems they can only focus on one product at a time. Never a whole lineup upgrade. And after the release it’s get neglected for years.Mini 7 was such a underwhelming update that we're already talking about what's next.
As much as some spring all this humor, poking/jabbing at Apple for web hits, its still doesn't detract from the mini's size for being highly portable/useful device IMHO. Yes I got one, because I get about half off the price in trade in after 3 years one month of a mini 6. Double the RAM, double the storage, better CPU then A15, really not that bad a deal for what I paid with base to base model upgrade. Now to wait till 2026 for a iPad mini 8 with OLED, that takes a lot of patience .I hope Apple will notice when people are not attempting to buy. The internet is all over this lazy update:
