iPad order shipped earlier than expected.

Well, on US and Canada online Apple stores the iPad is noted as being shipped in 7-10 days. On your order details it'll list your expected ship date as the 10th day.

Some people mentioned it came a little earlier, but that still coincides with the initial 7-10 day range.

You still have a chance of getting it earlier....

I did, my iPad was "Picked Up" in Shenzhen, China on Sunday the 13th. I got scared for a second when I saw that the Fedex tracking e-mailed me a "Shipping Exception" report that complained that the box was "received after FedEx cutoff." Regardless, my new favorite toy ended up on my doorstep Wednesday the 16th, the same day Apple had originally told me it was going to ship by.

Apple shipping email says I'll get it tomorrow. Fedex says Wednesday.

I'm on the East Coast just outside of Boston. Can't imagine how it could get all the way from ANCHORAGE (when it's already 4 hours later here), all the way here by tomorrow morning.
 
If it's anything like the rest of ours, yours will stop in memphis to go through customs. Mine sat there for a couple of days.

Anchorage, AK is a Customs checkpoint. It shouldn't go through customs again.

Mine finally got the International Release, and it's either waiting to be shipped to me, or it's already on its way. Who knows...
hopefully arrives tomorrow and not on Wednesday.

All of ours went to Anchorage. And then went to customs in Memphis. They never went through customs in Anchorage.
 
Ordered 16GB-3G June 9, estimated shipping June 23 arrival June 28 to Fort Lauderdale, FL

Actually Shipped June 21 Fedex Estimated Delivery is June 24 10:30 AM, but it has been in transit at "LANTAU ISLAND HK" since June 22 - 12:33 PM

Now Fedex.com says "Package deliveries are proceeding as normal; however tracking updates are temporarily being delayed. Please try back later."

I live in Florida as well. My package was in China from June 18 until June 22 and I was really worried I wouldn't get it by my expected delivery date (today). I received it today though.

You will most likely get yours tomorrow. I can't believe how fast everything went once it got to Alaska!

I was just reading this thread and then saw I had an email, so I went to read it and it's an email from Apple saying my iPad shipped! — 32GB WiFi after only 5 days, when they originally said it wouldn't ship until July 5th. What a pleasant surprise! I guess the macrumors admin saw my IP and let Apple know somehow. :rolleyes: :D

Of course it still has to get here…

Just had the same thing happen to me from Apple UK. Was expecting it in two weeks - could be here tomorrow! :D

Exact same situation with me. I've been reading the forum in the days since I've ordered (June 18th) and got an e-mail earlier tonight from Apple saying my 32GB Wi-Fi iPad has been shipped. Exciting stuff.

Kudos to apple

I'm impressed. I ordered my 3G iPad on the 4th; shipped the 18th; and delivered next business day the 21st.

Nice work Apple.

Ipad delivery

Ordered my ipad over the phone from the UK, got through to an American call centre.

Ipad arrived day before the official launch in the UK. Funny because people had camped out all night outside the Apple stores in the UK to be 'The first' to get an Ipad, I got a knock on the door from UPS and it was there early !!!!
 
ordered mine (32gb + 3g) on the 12th with an expected ship date on the 26th and delivery on the 29th. Still says yet to be shipped. Holding on to hope that it will ship sometime this week.

My order status just changed to "prepared for shipment." I'm stoked. Hopefully yours ships soon as well. Anyone have an idea how long it usually takes to actually ship once it's reached this status?
 
Mine showed up nearly five days earlier than estimated, so that made me a bit less angry having only to wait two weeks instead of three.
