Finally in Newark but of course they don't want to take the small walk to me. Upside I got the iPad case from taiwan, yeah took 2 days to get here with free shipping... Do you know how fun it is to open a box that has a case for something you don't have?

iPad order shipped earlier than expected.

Got My Ipad 3g
so this morning i just couldn't stand looking at my order status which basically told me that my iPad wasn't coming for 2 weeks so i called Apple stores all over the place and nobody had it. Finally i reached a Best Buy in Bridgewater, NJ which literally had the only iPads in stock in New Jersey so i purchased the 3G 32 GB which is what i had originally ordered and i cancelled my order. I was amazed while unboxing the iPad, its truly amazing.

I waited until Jun 5, 2010 at 07:28 AM PDT to order mine, and it was scheduled to ship on Monday, June 21, and arrive on Thursday, June 24.
I'm pleased to see, however, that it is now "prepared for shipment", and I hope that it gets here a little earlier than expected. This is a great product, and I'm looking forward to it.
P.S. I bought the 64 GB model with 3G service, and I plan to buy the unlimited data plan, since I bought it before the deadline for unlimited service.

They don't send an email when it's changed to "prepared for shipment." They do, however, send one once it's actually been shipped and in that email they give you your tracking number for fedex.

They said they get a shipment every couple days and they have no idea how many. SO put your name on the list. I signed up for two of them last thursday afternoon. They called on friday and said they were in so I went down saturday and picked them up.... I figured they are shipping them to the stores as fast as they can since they already have your order. I ordered my Imac 27 though as that was the only way to get what I wanted.
I ordered on May 28 (64GB 3G) and was given an estimated arrival date of June 17. Actually was delivered on June 14. Not a huge difference, but a pleasant surprise.
And as of yesterday, the unlimited data plan was still listed as an option for me.
Well, in the end, mine shipped the day it was scheduled but arrived at my local FedEx two days later than scheduled due to a broken plane in Indianapolis. The worst thing is I am now on vacation and had to tell FedEx to hold it until I get back. Kinda ticked since I really wanted to give it to my wife as a suprise for our trip.

Hmm...I placed an order for an ipad (more like a reservation as i put no money down) last thursday with mac cafe (no apple store nearby). ive been calling every day this week to see if they got them in yet. Today i called and he told me they havent had any for the past few weeks I really wish they would have told me this before i placed the order, i would have just ordered from apple directly.
Ive been calling all bestbuys that sell apple stuff, and they're either all sold out or only have 64gb 3g's. I only want a 16gb wifi.
Heres why im so frantic about getting this thing. Im leaving on vacation next friday (25th). I wont be back till august 8th. This vacation is the biggest reason for me getting one in the first place.
I really dont know what to do. Its definitely too late to place an order with apple. It says "ships in 7-10 days" and then i haveto wait a day or 2 for it to actually arrive (thats with expedited shipping).
Ive been even calling stores 2-3 hours away....gahhhhh

I ordered the same version the same day a few hours earlier. It was "prepared for shipment" for the last two days and is now at Fed Ex in SHENZHEN CN. Maybe it will arrive earlier than June 24?
I ordered on the 6th in the UK, expected ship date 19th June, expected Delivery 21st June. Still waiting for updates!!! I guess early shipments are in the US only.
