iPad Pro iPad Pro 2020 Order Status

Hey guys! I ordered my iPad pro on April 3rd and everything went relatively smoothly (except for a long hold up in Hong Kong) but I've followed its journey and it's finally made it to the final facility 30 minutes from my house with a delivery scheduled for today. I woke up this morning and... BAM.

"Due to global health events beyond our control, your package is being held for delivery at a later date."

I'm so sad. It was SO CLOSE haha Damn. I'm even more bummed that I didn't see that coming since I received the Apple pen and folio last week without a hitch.
 
So..... close..... it was scheduled for delivery today.... it's in Concord, which is where UPS trucks live in my region. Just put it on the truuuuck. (Maybe the truck is full of emergency medical supplies. But it is my right as a person to be grumpy when it doesn't hurt anyone. So grumpy.)

WOW! I understood, sort of, the hold up in china.... but it's at your delivery station and being held!? YIKES!

The same thing happened to me today with my apple pencil!
Oh man! I hope this doesn't happen to me tomorrow too. I'm suppose to get my iPad tomorrow....

I found a local thread that UPS centers near major cities in Canada are so overwhelmed they are actually a little dangerous to find packages in - they never expected to need to move things at this volume, and there is almost no room to contain it all, never mind sort it.

Packages are apparently sometimes held for weeks or delivered day-of, but with no tracking update to "out for delivery" because of the insanity. And sometimes damaged. Luckily it's fine right if it arrives at any given moment because I am HOME ALL THE TIME, but I am not sure how to emotionally juggle having it out there without any hope that refreshing the ups page all day will provide info.

You probably lost that thread but if you find it, could you send it to me? I'm obsessed with ipad/ups reading material right now haha

I desperately want it before the weekend :'( I could cry. (Petty, I know)

But I want even more for my iPad to be safe and not crushed and damaged in the warehouse facility!

I am hoping ours will slip into a truck because they'd be small compared to like, toilet paper or whatever. Just slip em in the sides.

I would never close a tab I can obsess over.

Anyone on here have an iPad held for global health in Concord (or anywhere else, really) that can chime in with how it went?

That other thread I linked was just general shipping, and one person mentioned an exercise bike and who knows what else. Maybe the process is less brutal with something tiny and expedited?

You make me nervous ! ... Mine arrived in Concord, ON last night and delivery date for Montreal, QC is schedule for Tomorrow (Friday Apr 17) ...

Glad to see I’m not the only person having issues with Concord. I had a smart folio keyboard “delivered” three days in a row, with no actual package delivered. I’ve contacted UPS via Phone yesterday and the day before and they advised that it would be delivered the next day. I’ve contacted them again today and they assure me it’ll be delivered tomorrow.

Hope this doesn’t happen with my Pencil and iPad when they ship, but it’s pretty likely at this point.

I WILL NEVER GIVE UP PINING!! I'm not a quitter! :p

Actually applepeels gave me hope so we will see if that was kind or cruel. I have decided to have hope for tomorrow morning but if there is no evidence by like 11:30am I'm just going to distract myself until at LEAST Monday. Somehow. :)

Mine was ordered 10.35pm Monday night, and arrived around 9am this morning (Friday).

Estimated delivery was 22-24/4, so for me I got mine a week early.
 
Checking this morning - again ;)
I ordered mine on April 10th. It's still in processing with an estimated ship date of April 16-20. - Today is the 17th. No activity showing.

Patience grasshopper......
 
Still no sign of mine, hopefully next week. Having no tracking info at all is an absolute nightmare. Badly need it for work too. Killer of a wait.

12.9 to Ireland ordered on 3/31.
