FINALLY! After a month and 3 days, my iPad is finally out for delivery as of 8am this morning!
I gotta say, i've had fun being in this thread
I haven't actually joined an active forum in probably 11 years or so? So doing this and going through all of this iPad shipping stuff has been fun! I also seen the shirt ideas and I am actually thinking about getting one lol XD

My ipad is finally out for delivery! I actually paid an extra $8 so that UPS would deliver within the first two hours of their delivery window 😅.

It is tiny. It's actually the result of a miniscule dent just inside the SIM slot that has caused the aluminum on the outside to protrude a little bit. You can't see it half the time depending on the angle of the light, but the other half it looks like a dark spot where a small chunk of the aluminum has been chipped off. But I decided to cover it up anyways lol.

So my iPad arrived today, and it did not disappoint one bit! I hadn’t had an ipad since the ipad 2. This thing is amazing!!
So from what I gather reading all your messages in this thread is that deliver dates tend to be towards the later part of the range Apple provides. I remember the days when you always got things sooner than expected, but I guess Apple just got better at predicting delivery dates.

All the rumors point towards an air refresh instead of pro refresh but in my area, stock levels from third party retailers are close to none and shipping time from Apple is a month.
What are the chances that the Pro is being refreshed next week hence the low inventory levels of current models?

I placed an order on 30th August , expected delivery 21st-29th sept . Still in processing
What configuration did you order? I ordered two days before you, but was quoted a full week later than your delivery estimate.

I’d say zero. Pro stock has been low for months and is most likely a result of both higher demand and supply chain constraints due to the pandemic. Keep in mind that they also are building inventory for the new iPads they are launching which inevitably takes some bandwidth away from Pros production (at the very least limits their ability to increase production)
This combined with rumors pointing to an Air refresh and the fact the the current Gen Pro was refreshed this year it’s very unlikely.
Yeah, when I ordered back in Early July the Pro was taking about 1 Month to ship and the Air would be Delivered in 2 Days. Now, the Shipping for the Pros has gotten better by a few days, and the Air has gotten Drastically worse.
I’m not sure Pro shipping times have been getting better at all. I was given a 5 week shipping estimate with an order placed on August 28th. Were they longer than 5 weeks at some point?

I think 4-5 was pretty standard, unfortunately.
some dude ordered on 8/13 and said he finally saw movement on tuesday. i ordered 8/15 and am getting antsy
