I am not sure if it's my bank's problem but I've been charged already for a long time. Even though I asked Apple about this, they say they usually not charge before shipment my credit card bill doesn't say the same thing. I believe and trust Apple will ship my iPad whenever it's possible but this seems odd for me. Has anyone experienced this kind of stuff or should I talk with my bank here in Turkey ?
Apart from that, today is 17th day for me. I hope to see some movement soon 😂 But seeing all the comments about movement on 26-27th day makes me sad...

Interesting. I got charged for my iPad on July 25, and it Moved to “Preparing to Ship” on July 30th.
They charged me after I ordered, I thought it was because they sent me the pods and pencil. But seems like that’s not the reason because iPad is still processing 🤔
Are you sure it’s an actual charge? It could just be an authorization or “hold” to make sure the funds will be available when the iPad is shipped. The hold is usually renewed every three days or so.
Actually I thought the same at the beginning but now I have my credit card bill to pay exactly the same amount of total. It doesn’t seem like they put my money on hold. Tomorrow I will call and ask about this situation. I dont know if it’s the right word but I think that’s called “provision”? Every other purchase that I made usually stays there until some movement happens. Amazon, Apple etc. This one didn’t. Probably an issue with my bank but I will ask them for sure 😬 I’m not mad because they took money before it shipped. I’m mad because I need to refresh the website everyday because I will not have “money is taken from you so wait for shipping any moment” notification. 😂

Yeah, that is odd. My card was charged on the day it moved to “Preparing to Ship”. I think I would definitely reach out to Apple. I’m sure they probably have reps available 7 days a week to answer questions. Maybe it’s a glitch of some kind and your iPad is getting ready to ship. 😊
I just checked again it shows exactly the same amount of iPad for me to pay. Let’s see what will the bank say tomorrow. 🤔

If anyone wants to figure out when their iPad Pro was made, just go ahead and put your Serial # into this Website. Apparently my iPad was made in the Week of July 27 to August 2. This matches up with my Delivery Status, as mine went to Preparing to Ship on July 30.

Just put in the serial # I got from the invoice since the iPad isn't here yet.
This is what I got.
- Factory: DMP - China - Foxconn
- Year: 2020
- Week: 35 (24.08 - 30.08)
- Age: Infant

This also gives us more info on the shipping. It says it was made week ending 8/30. That gives it around 11 days to ship from China to the warehouse in USA. Then it shipped out from there on 9/11, I wish it had just shipped to me straight from China. It probably would have been a lot shorter trip.
Any ideas as to when stock will return to normal? Shipping dates for me (UK) go well into October.
Probably not gonna go to normal unless the New iPad Air is Comparable to these iPad Pros and Demands lessen for the Pro and more buyers go to the Air.

Hm. I put in the Serial Number for my old iPad Pro 9.7”. I purchased it from a Apple Store at my Local Mall in May 2017. Apparently it was made in November of 2016. Interesting.
Also, I believe one of you said that your Apple Pencil and AirPods didn’t work. I haven’t tried mine yet, but my HomePod from 2018 and my old iPod Touch from 7 years ago works on their Website.

@DiamondarBoss maybe our iPads are twins, lol. My info shows the same manufacture date range, lol.🤪
Here’s mine. Looks like it was manufactured right before it shipped on 8/17, which is no surprise considering it came from China. Serial number starts with DMPD7.
Hmmm. Mine starts with DMPD5. I got an Earlier Batch, maybe? @Ismachado says that Her iPad was built in the same Date Range, so I wonder. Does your Serial # start with DMPD5?

Yeah, the Original Photo’s Blue Color wasn’t Dark Enough, so I had to Edit it in Pixelmator Photo. Now it looks Perfect. 😂
From what I read, the fifth character in the serial number represents the week it was manufactured. So mine was built 2 weeks after yours. Makes sense since I ordered a couple weeks after you lol.
