So for those of you who know that I was able to jump the line and get my iPad pro early (thanks to Best Buy), I wanted to give you guys a little update about my usage and whatnot (and for new people as well).

A small Timeline (for anyone interested):
August 13: Ordered an IPP 11", 128gb, space gray, no engraving, wifi only iPad (free AirPods w/ Edu discount) through Apple
August 13-31: Processing
September 01: Browsed Best Buy out of my own curiosity. Canceled Apple order and ordered through Best Buy. Best Buy offered the same price w/ Edu discount minus AirPods. Ordered all accessories and Pencil (through Apple, b/c cheaper (surprisingly!))
September 02: Returned Airpods and Ipad shipped by Best Buy from Ohio.
September 03: Went through an "excruciating" all-day wait, hoping for my iPad to arrive before classes (yes, i know the wait isn't as bad as waiting a month). Accessories delivered earlier. Ipad delivered to my house after classes @ 5 pm (of course after my classes were over).

Now, I wanna start off by saying that this little slab is a powerhouse and an absolute lifesaver in ochem (i can't draw for the life of me, even if its just lines). I've spent over 70 hours on notability for class notes. I love having everything digitalized and I don't have to worry about messing up or losing papers. I don't think I could go back to paper notes tbh. I also love playing games because of the larger screen. This has practically become my new phone, I feel like I barely use my phone, minus texting, and some social media.

For my screen protector, I got the mate "paperlike" elecom one (on amazon). I love it. It definitely doesn't feel like paper but I like the friction between the screen and pencil. I haven't noticed any wear on both the pencil and SP and I write on it about 4-5 hrs a day. So I highly suggest it if you want a decent matte paperlike screen protector for a good price. My case is the ESR yippee and it fits very well and has enough protection that I'm good with. Supports charging of pencil as well. Would also recommend for a slim, auto-lock, and simple case.

Sorry for how long this is I just wanted you all to know how having the Ipad is for me since a few others have done it as well. I have a few other accessories if anyone wants to know, but I just wanted to go over the 2 big ones that people mostly ask about ( i can also send links to my accessories bought on amazon). I wish you all (who have not received your IPP) good luck in your wait! And just know it will be over soon enough and you'll have a new toy!

Thank you for the great review. Will definitely be helpful to others waiting for theirs.

For the people still waiting like me, it helps. For the people whose received theirs... they probably think we’re crazy. 😂
Not at all. If you look back through this thread, you’ll see we all went through the same thing. But we always (mostly) tried to keep things lighthearted. That’s why some of us are still hanging out here. I guess we feel a kind of kinship with everyone here...we’ve been through it, and we TOTALLY understand how you feel. Humor helps! (Some of us might be going through it all again when the new iPhones are released!) 😳

Well, I charge my iPad Pro with a 29-Watt USB-C Charger that Originally Shipped with the 12-inch MacBooks.

It all Depends on what Charger you have. I think someone On Twitter Found out that it can Charge at up to 22 Watts.

If I plug my 18 Watt or a 20 Watt Charger into the MK, it will charge at the Full 20 or 18 Watts. If I plug my 29-Watt Charger in, it can’t charge at the full 29 Watts. So it steps down to it’s other Wattage, which happens to be 7.5 Watts. So Charging the iPad through the Magic Keyboard with the 29 Watt Charger is slower than Charging the iPad through the Magic Keyboard with the 18 Watt charger. But, when plugging Directly into the iPad the 29 watt Charger is obviously Faster than the 18 Watt, because the iPad can take up to 30 Watts.
After taking a peak at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210133 and doing some math with a wattage/volt/amp calculator it seems both the 18 watt adapter and 20 watt adapter have a common wattage, which is 15 watts. Perhaps this is what the Magic Keyboard will step the adapters down to? I always use the adapter that comes packaged with my iDevice, but I'm curious.

What's your take on this @DiamondarBoss?

I don’t think so. If anyone could understand our pain and this situation that would be those who got their iPads 😂 This topic started as a waiting line now it became a class to graduate when you have you iPad. It has own people and we are becoming friends all around the world.😂

edit: but we do need to change the title to september/october 🤣

The OP, @iThink Apple is the only one who can change it. In a couple of weeks, it’ll need to have October added as well. I agree with everything you said. Great post!

Or maybe one of the mods like @maflynn can change it.

Wonder if any of the lovely macrumors people can help me out... I’ve been following this thread for a while, I ordered an 11” iPP 128gb WiFi only space grey (not engraved) on the 22/8, estimated delivery 16/9-23/9, which means the first day of the delivery window is today (I’m in the UK).

My order is still in processing. Should I be worried? Just reading the previous replies to this thread and the person who had their delivery date extended by almost a month has got me worried that the same might happen to me, especially since we had the same delivery dates before.
Well woke up this morning day 27 of processing to FINALLY see it going to preparing to ship! It’s about damn time!!! @ahawks1234 yours will be shipping soon buddy:)

Looks like the iPad Pros aren’t the only Devices with Shipping Delays 🤣

You want to see a real delay just look at the Series 6 Apple watch. Getting quoted mid-November for the one I was looking at. Still waiting for my iPad Pro to move (ordered Aug 28th - estimated delivery Oct 1st - 8th)
Ouch. I’ll get the Watch and the new Phone at the same time, hopefully Shipping will have gotten better by then.

Ordered my IPP 11' 128GB on 08/27
Shipping window 09/18 - 09/25 (I'm in Europe)
Today : 09/18
State : Processing

Do you think that with the release of the new ipad air and apple watch, apple will have even more problems delivering on time?

My group classes start in a week. Really a disappointment to have to wait so much for such prices...

I think your iPad will come in the Given Date, Apple rarely Fails to Deliver on this Date. Since you are in Europe, your iPad will ship from a Warehouse in Europe.

I think with the new iPad Air, Demand on the Pro will Lessen as it’s a Good Deal and More People will buy it. But I don’t think the Apple Watch has anything to do with this.

I’m in Europe also but I wonder is it going to be same with USA delivery. I suppose you could track you iPad from China to USA right? I doubt we’ll have that chance. Probably they are going to give us the details when they ship from warehouse.
Has anyone in Europe details about it? I know there’s another topic dor EU but this one is more active to ask and answer. 😬

@sirgib is also in europe and had hers ship from a nearby warehouse. Even though they come from China, you can’t track it.
