Interesting to see that the Magic Keyboard has had Hardware Revisions. Mine is on Hardware Version 0009. What Hardware Versions are yours?

@sirgib is also in europe and had hers ship from a nearby warehouse. Even though they come from China, you can’t track it.

Oh I see. So like I guess, we’ll have the details when they ship from warehouse. I think that changes the dates for movement also. You can track it all the way through to your house so you must have shorter period between order-shipping dates. But if we have the notification just when they ship from warehouse, ours will be longer. I don’t know if I explain well but that makes sense for me now 😂

You want to see a real delay just look at the Series 6 Apple watch. Getting quoted mid-November for the one I was looking at. Still waiting for my iPad Pro to move (ordered Aug 28th - estimated delivery Oct 1st - 8th)

Same day as my order but my range was from end of Sept to beginning of Oct. Wonder if that's due to delivery location.

I ordered mine September 1st, still no movement from "processing". Have a delivery date between September 24th and October 1st. I was hoping I'd see some movement on the 17th since it'd be a week from next Thursday (24th), but nope.
I'm shipping to the New Jersey Shore.

Hard to say, but the update doesn't take very long to do. Why would it be important to you to have it preinstalled?

Fascinating. So I see there's a firmware version too so does this mean Apple can update the firmware, and if so would that be independent of OS updates, or bundled together. We should keep an eye on this going forward. What's your take on this @DiamondarBoss

I don’t think so. If anyone could understand our pain and this situation that would be those who got their iPads 😂 This topic started as a waiting line now it became a class to graduate when you have you iPad. It has own people and we are becoming friends all around the world.😂

edit: but we do need to change the title to september/october 🤣

I totally agree. Misery really does love company I guess 😂
I'd say just get rid of the months from the title so we're not finding ourselves in the same problem again come November.

Not likely imo. Mine was pretty much shipped as soon as it came off the line, and there was still an OS update to do when I turned it on. Pretty sure it was 13.6.

I didn’t want the Space Gray finish to wear off Over Time when setting it on Tables, Etc. Also, the Apple Logo on the Back Scratches really Easily and I didn’t want that happening. Kinda sucks that the Engraving would be covered.

Still, probably not gonna get it lol. Rarely leaves my desk. When people start Moving Around again, maybe then I’ll get one. It’s getting late here and I’m tired. Good Night iPad Pro Shipping Class of 2020.

I don’t keep mine in the MK all the time, and If someone who had theirs longer than me (A.k.a. @Namara) has any Problems, I’ll be sure to Cry in a Corner because mine might be damaged too. Until then, no Crying in the Corner. I cried enough when my iPad fell off a Chair. 😂

Didn’t hear about this issue until now, so it’s probably just a one off for some reason.

But that’s why I keep saying Silver iPads are the way to go!

Have you considered touching up that corner a little bit? I’d be so irritated if I dropped mine like that and caused the same damage and had to look at it every day lol.

I did. I pushed on it. That photo is like 2 weeks old. I pushed down on the dent. Now it’s flattened. The little ridges are still there, but barely noticeable. I’ll post a picture here today. It’s not Noticeable unless you are looking at it under correct lighting.

It’s really surprising how Malleable the metal is. Of course, I don’t go pushing directly on the iPad. I put some Microfiber cloths over and then pushed it down. I think I’m going to take some more Microfiber cloths, get some pliers and GENTLY try to flatten it Completely.

Ahh! I just got away from the silver streak I was on with my iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhond 8, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini 4 when I went with the gorgeous space gray on the iPhone 11 Pro. I sure hope it's a one off cause otherwise Apple is gonna have a big problem. 😢

For me, there was practically no delay for the Series 6. I ordered on launch day and UPS says that I will have it this coming Monday, so that is a total of six days from order to delivery. My IPP is at day 21 with absolutely no movement with realistically another 10 days to go. And that is for a product that has been out for six months!
