iPad Pro iPad Pro - Shipping Thread

I actually like a somewhat mushy keyboard feel. I tried the SKF after getting my 2018 refurb iPP back in May and liked it. The material covering the keys felt good and it was reassuring that everything was covered. I really really really didn't want to buy the Magic Keyboard because of the price and wanted to wait and see ... You know how it is though: you wake up one morning and you just know, yup today is the day I'm ordering xxx. There were long shipping dates in early June for the MK but I snagged one from Verizon (even though I'm not a customer) that came with two-day shipping. Good deal.

All I can say is the MK and I bonded instantly and having a trackpad was night and day from the SKF. But I still say the SKF is an excellent product. I was iPad+MK only all summer, but have recently added a Windows laptop to my mix mostly for a new work project and better gaming.

The Magic Keyboard does, and mine Sustained most of the Impact when It fell off a Chair.

If you cannot Afford the Magic Keyboard, you could get a 3rd Part Folio Case. I heard the the Logitech Keyboard case with Trackpad costs the same as Apple’s Folio case with just a Keyboard. It might be worth Checking Out!

The Logitech Folio Touch does seem thicker then the Magic Keyboard, as well as bumper protection on the edges.
(Just an FYI when he reviewed it it was running an older firmware version. A later update fixes the issues he mentions in the video.)
Unfortunately it uses a diving board touchpad instead of what Apple uses, however it's the best 3rd party solution as it's the only non Apple product that uses the smart connector instead of Bluetooth. It even supports the automatic backlit keyboard brightness like the Magic Keyboard does as well as all the multitouch gestures.

So I'm the guy who graduated (got his iPad) and is now returning to his old high school (this thread) and noting the impermanence of humanity (that this thread is still going on all this time later) and wondering where my friends @janekenstein and @DiamondarBoss and @MaxGolden12 are now.

I ordered an Apple Watch Series 6 yesterday and it's coming on Monday so I guess those things are not made in the iPad factory :)

Possee from Page 94! I miss you all! I hope you and your iPads are well! And to all the incoming Freshmen, this thread is the ****!

So I’m thinking and praying that Best Buy is going to stick to my delivery date of 9/22, the person I talked to in chat said there was already a notification sent to the store for my iPad to be picked for shipping. So hopefully I’ll get a shipment notification tomorrow and I can cancel my order with Apple! 🤞🏼

I’m ready for graduation! 😭

Mentoring the youth of today. Those scamps! That's SUCH a DiamondarBoss and MaxGolden12 thing to do! I hear Janekenstein just invented something called Post-it Notes!

I will say - three weeks into ownership - this thing was worth the wait. Exceptional battery life. Really getting the hang of the whole multitasking thing. (You're still limited by your app but holy baloney the Google Drive via Safari thing)

The ONE Achilles heel may just be my rural location -- but I'm pulling three bars of LTE on my Cell Phone, and my ATT Fixed Wireless is lightning fast (but data capped -- hence my unlimited plan on the iPad) For some reason whether at work or at home I have yet to go above two bars on this thing. So -- wondering if the modem was skimpy. Still, beggars can't be choosers in the land of data caps.

Seriously guys, you'll love it when it arrives!

Also, decked it out in some dBrand and Decalgirl skins down to the pencil. Anyone who knows me IRL knows I never go anywhere without one of those 25 cent composition notebooks, so it seemed like the right thing to do.

Glad to hear you’re happy with it! Let’s not forget that one time you Almost Sent back your iPad Because you put the Screen protector on Wrong 🤣

This seems really good alternative to MK. I definitely will look for it. Thanks for suggestion! I couldnt find an official store for Logitech Folio but I’m sure somebody sells somewhere. 😂

My skin is out for delivery today! Just ordered it late Wednesday night. All the way from Canada to Texas in 72 hours. They said 5-7 business days, so I’m impressed. Hopefully, I won’t mess it up. 😳

So basically this is going to be a dead weekend ? I'm at day 23 of processing also. My iPad should be here any moment in this week. I need to see some movement asap to keep my sanity 😂
