It seems strange nonetheless. As I said previously, other models (like the mini or even the new iPad) are either readily or with a reasonable delay available. The mini in particular is available for next day shipping. Where is covid in this case? I don't see why only the Pro model is affected. Really strange.

It is not my money used in the purchase but my employer's money. It has to be used before December.

Because the iPad Pro is a different device, it uses different parts for example the LIDAR camera, maybe the particular production issue is with that. We just don’t know. There must be an issue somewhere, Apple wouldn’t want to be cancelling people’s orders for no reason!

Also sales have probably increased due to more people staying at home.

We need iPads! 😂

Ahhh just received the notification from my bank that Apple finally deducted the amount for the iPad Pro. I am so excited gosh, I haven't had an iPad since 2012.

Seems like my status has moved to "preparing to ship" as well.

For reference, my estimated arrival is 22/09/2020 - 29/09/2020

I have to say to anyone considering buying a Paperlike screen protector for their new IPP, just don’t... it’s horrible! Unless you’re going to be drawing all day then it might be ok but when you touch it with your fingers it feels horrible and the screen quality is absolutely trash with it on, comparable to an old kindle.
I got fooled by watching all the sponsored YouTube videos. Luckily they gave me a refund though when I asked and I didn’t need to send them back or anything so they do at least have good customer service.

Which one did you take? The paperlike screen protector from "Paperlike"? Because I bought the ESR and I find it pretty good (I tested it on a solid support with the ApplePencil because I haven't received my IPP yet)

Yeah the actual Paperlike one from the guy in Germany. I’ve heard that one is supposed it be good as well as the Bellemond one but then again I heard the Paperlike one was good too otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it!

Anyone's arrival on 22/09/2020 - 29/09/2020? Mine still shows as processing LOL
Because there is no such thing as month 22 ;)
Edit: looks like it's preparing to ship per your recent posts. I guess they could just drone drop your package since you're in Asia, haha.

I am so torn on which screen protector I should use. I wanted something like Paperlike, because I'll be using my iPad for note-taking, but at the same time I've read reviews that it wears down the Apple pencil tip quickly and the screen quality is horrid. For now, I bought a tempered glass screen protector. I just hope that writing on it is not awful 🤔.

There have been some posts on other threads about how the Paperlike wears down the Pencil tip too. I don't know about this firsthand, but something to consider anyway.

Ordering Dbrand Magic Keyboard Skin.....
@MaxGolden12

I unfortunately can’t get the Frame Skin, because yea. “Unforseen Circumstances Dents”
Wait, I don't understand why a frame skin won't work. Couldn't you kind of mush it into place?

Well, other than that there are a few Reasons I didn’t get one:

1: If I mushed it into place, it wouldn’t be completely flat (duh) and it could lift up over time, which is a no-no.
2: I don’t trust myself to apply a Screen Protector, nevertheless small Pieces of Vinyl on my $1000 aluminum slab.
3: If I got that, I wouldn’t be able to Admire the beautiful Dent?

Glad I could be of Help. I am a 11/10 MacRumors Forum Poster

I didn’t mean to insult anyone, if that’s how it came along in my UnEdited post. Sorry!
