The store seems to have nudged the bank, so the payment is through. They deliver most orders the day after purchase but such an easy ending would not fit this dramatic story, so they extended the waiting time for a few more days just to torture me, it seems. They say Sunday. I can only hope the delivery doesn't get delayed and/or the package is not ruined in the process somehow (wouldn't be the first time).
I'm running out of iPad Pro videos on Youtube.

Ordered on 9/10. Today, got notice of shipment and delivery on 10/7. 2020 Space gray 12.9 128gb wifi only.
Has this length of delay been this way since the pandemic started? Or is this recent delay due to some kind of forthcoming update say with a newer chip?

The delay has been like this since the thing was released. It has actually gotten better by a week or so since I ordered back in July.

I’m not sure these videos are of any help for my sanity to be honest, but I’ve seen countless unboxings, comparisons and reviews for iPP itself, accessories and most of the software I could imagine myself using. I have even bought some in advance months ago. I’m not desperate, I swear. I just need to be done with this, so I can direct my attention somewhere else.
What are you most looking forward to doing on your iPP?
I fully understand you. I hope you have it as soon as possible. It's sad to wait so many weeks but... just hang in there for vouple of days. It'll be glorious when it arrives.

Honestly? Typing. Messengers, e-mail, tables, research, I also tend to "think in text" a lot. I thought a Max iPhone with a foldable keyboard would suffice but it's a major hassle. I want a "laptop" to carry with me asap, so the Magic Keyboard is waiting on my table for few days already. Also I access camera feeds and remote desktops multiple times a day. A phone does surprisingly decent job at that but a bigger screen would still be so much more convenient.
And yeah, I know a laptop would be a better solution for those above, and especially the coding needs I also happen to have, but I actually also do a fair share of design and photo work and I have background in art that I've been wanting to reconnect with for a while now. So that side of iPad also makes me excited.
I didnt pushed hard. A very slight touch or push also create a distortion on my ipad.
I ordered mine on 9/15- so I guess I should see a shipping notification in about 5 days!
Obligatory morning, noon and evening status check completed- still processing.
