Here’s a thought: you can open the new phone and use it. Then you can put your old one in the box and unwrap that one on Christmas morning. Be sure to act surprised and say ‘Oh, I shouldn’t have! How did I know it’s just what I wanted!’ ?

Why deprive yourself lol? You should just enjoy your new toys. After the year we’ve all been through, is a little indulgence really such a bad thing?
Also, you only have a 14 day return window if heaven forbid, you have some sort of issue with it. Luckily, mine was, and continues to be, flawless! But I wouldn’t have wanted to take the chance of having an issue and not knowing until after the return window was up. Are you trading in your old phone?
Nope. Keeping my old iPhone 6s. It’s been a long 5 Years.
I usually keep all my iPhones and Apple Devices. If they look good (cosmetically), they go on a Shelf. If they don’t, they go in the

Is it showing as out for delivery or loaded on delivery vehicle yet? Is it coming by FedEx or UPS? I believe AT&T usually uses FedEx. Better watch for the truck like a hawk, since some people posted that the driver already had a missed delivery notification filled out and never even attempted to make the delivery. Some were caught on doorbell cameras. Just saying...?

So, my UPS status finally got Updated.
It’s scheduled for Monday Delivery, even though it’s about 45 Minutes away from my house. Interesting.
Now, my iPhone Case also went to “Preparing to Ship”. Using Reference # Tracking I was able to find out that it too was coming by UPS.
I doubt it’s gonna take until Wednesday to come here, so I think it too will come Monday.
So I‘ll have two Apple Products to Unbox Monday. Now, the Wait Begins.

Well, my iPhone’s Shipping status is still showing as being at my local Airport and as “In Transit”. My iPhone Case is showing as ”Shipment Ready for UPS”. Huh.

Actually, it’s not. UPS Tracking Updated for Delivery of December 2. So Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I have to use my iPhone without dropping it, lol.
You should only sit on the sofa with it and put your mattress on the floor directly in front of the sofa so that if it happens to fall, it will land on a soft surface. Remove any end tables or coffee tables from the area near the sofa so you don’t accidentally bump the iphone on any table corners. Easy peasy! ? ?

Are you getting Apple Care+? That will also cover theft and loss, unless you’re getting insurance through AT&T. I finally dropped mine with AT&T after 2 decades of paying and never filing a claim. I just have Apple Care+ now.
No, I’m not getting AppleCare+. I think I have Insurance through AT&T, though.
