I’m getting them in Space Gray with Engraving. I’m so excited.
It was either Space Grey or Sky Blue for me. Green would have nicely matched my iPhone 12, but Sky Blue would add more colour variety to my recent Apple products. Since mine is engraved as well, I expect it to come from overseas like our iPads did. Should ship in about a couple of weeks, and will definitely have to update my profile pic with all my Apple products once it arrives!
Cool, I’m getting Space Gray because all my Apple Products are Space Gray/Graphite.

DRAMATIC FLASHBACKS
Only have another week or so to go this time! It said it would ship in 2 to 3 weeks last Monday (3/15) when I placed my order so it won’t be as long (I hope!).
OMG! Finally, no more “Processing”. I’m ordering mine about a week or so, so I hopefully they don’t take too long.
I wonder where these ship from. AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro are made in Vietnam (along with HomePod mini) so you’d think that the Max would be the same, but some people are saying AirPods Max are made in China like our iPad Pros!
So it will be interesting to see where yours come from! I’m getting mine Engraved like yours too.
I’ll let you know where they dispatch from once I get my tracking. I think some had theirs ship out of China although I’ve also heard of them being made in Vietnam, so will have to see.
Also, current wait (aka dreaded P-word) times are right around two weeks. I ordered mine on 3/15 and they just went to preparing to ship last night (3/29), so you can probably expect to see the same for yours. Not quite as long as the wait for our iPads to ship, but still a fair amount of time.

This would be my first pair of Noise Cancelling Headphones that I own, because my current headphones (AirPods 1, still going strong from 2017) don’t have any and neither did any of my old ones. Apparently the noise cancelling in the AirPods Max is something else. I’ll have to wait and see! Or should I say.....stare at processing and see.

My APM are still in preparing to ship, but UPS My Choice just pulled up the tracking info and it looks like they're coming from Dongguan, China. Delivery is estimated on 4/6, exactly a week from today, so it looks like shipping will probably be slightly less delayed than last summer when our iPads shipped. My original delivery window was 4/8 to 4/14 so Apple might beat their initial estimate.
As for condensation, I was a bit worried about it too shortly after the initial reports and was part of the reason why I cancelled my original order. However, it looks like it's not that uncommon for these types of closed cup headphones and there actually doesn't seem to have been all that many reports of it recently, and much less of it causing real problems. I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point and just try to enjoy them as much as possible when they arrive.
EDIT: They've just been picked up by UPS and are on their way! Delivery is now scheduled for next Tuesday, 4/6.
Yeah, apparently the rest of the electronic components are sealed off from the condensation so it shouldn’t be a problem. Still, I wouldn’t recommend wearing it in a steam room
Hi all, been a while since I checked in. I wasn't planing on getting AirPods Max but after reading the last couple pages I started watching reviews.
Checked to see how long I would be in processing and found some in stock close to home. I get to skip processing all together this time.
Just ordered silver and will have them delivered by courier 11:30 - 1:30

I was shocked when it said next day delivery, I never get lucky. Amazon also has some in stock for Tuesday delivery.

As for mine, it’s departed Dongguan, China where it was picked up by UPS almost 3 days ago and no updates since, so I have no idea where they are at the moment, although I figure they’re still somewhere in China, quite possibly delayed. Definitely having flashbacks to last summer waiting for our iPads lol.

Sadly, for any engraved Apple Product you can’t get a courier delivery, as it would have to be at your local Apple store for it to be courier delivered. Engraved products can’t do that because they are made-to-order lol.
Probably. Although I checked the map and Dongguan is very close to Hong Kong, where many of our iPads went through. Assuming it’s taking the same route, there is no way it should take 3 days to get there. Or maybe it just missed a scan or is going through somewhere else like ZhengZhou. Worth noting my original scheduled delivery date of 4/6 had also disappeared lol.
As for courier delivery, it doesn’t seem to be offered here in Canada for the AirPods Max, even if they’re in stock at Apple Stores. Both my local stores currently have the Space Grey in stock, but delivery times are still towards the end of the month should you choose to get them delivered, so they definitely don’t ship from stores here, which is unfortunate.
Sadly I think courier delivery might only be for the US, as they use “Postmates” to deliver things.
I think it might be going from Dongguan to Zhengzhou, then to Incheon and onto Alaska very much like my iPad.
It should take about one week from getting tracking info to having it at your door :]
Never mind, woke up this morning to a departure scan out of Chek Lap Kok (Hong Kong)! So it looks like it just missed an arrival scan there. Delivery has been pushed back by two days to 4/8 which is a bit of a bummer, but at least I know where it is now.

Well, hopefully you know what to expect now from my experience so far lol. Processing for 14 days (guessing it might take an extra day or two for you since you ordered on a Saturday), preparing to ship for about 24 hours, shipping out of Dongguan, China since you got yours engraved like mine, and going through Hong Kong.
