Switched my order from 11 to 12.9 last night and now it’s arriving in 4-5 months :-( meanwhile it’s in stock in other stores but I couldn’t pass up that $100 student discount, cheaper AC+ and free AirPods.....btw when does AC+ kick in since I already received the Pencil?

I believe it should be covered since you've already bought AC+, but call or chat with Support to confirm. I hope you meant 4-5 weeks, not months! (though it may feel like it ...)

I ordered a 12.9 IPP SG 256GB Wi-Fi Cellular July 12 via Apple. Still in processing. August 12-19 delivery date. I saw someone on the forums who ordered same day as me. Hopefully we see movement soon but it looks like the estimated dates are spot on. My poor iPad Air 2 is dying a slow painful death. Battery drops from 100% to 75% in 5 minutes.

Really? My first gen Air from 7 years ago still surprisingly holds up well. Battery lasts for days on stand-by.

Yep! That was me. Still no movement on my end. We’re getting closer though.

On a completely Unrelated note, I'm gonna go get my iPad Pro 9.7" Screen Replaced today. Poor thing's screen randomly stopped working 2 days ago. Thank goodness that the Repair Shop I went to offers a Lifetime warranty. Still have not been Charged for the IPP I ordered July 6. And it is still on "Processing" I really hope it gets moving soon, Only 10 days until it should arrive.

Wow! Nice! Mine can’t get through a day on standby. I think I caused the issue though. It sat on a charger for a long time barely getting unplugged. Now the battery just dies quickly. And it’s gotten very sluggish to the point it’s almost not useable. Hence ordering a new iPad. Plus I’m starting to use iPads more now, especially with remote access apps / programs.

Awesome! I just couldn’t remember your username but I remember seeing it a couple pages back. We’re getting closer indeed. I’ve lost some of the excitement but it’ll come back when it ships. Hopefully sooner than later!

Namara Thank you for the tip. I’m going to keep my order with Apple at this point I think. I’m not in a big desperate hurry to get it right now. My old iPad still works as long as I keep it plugged in.

My Air 1 is the same - Still get a good 6-8 hours usage and tons of standby time. Hope the pro is going to be the same.

as far as I know the 12.9" Pro gets about 8-9 hours and the 11" gets 10-11. I think it's because the Larger one has a larger screen, therefore spending more power.

After checking a few reviews, you're right. I'm a bit disappointed that the larger battery in the 12.9 still can't match the 11 in terms of side by side battery life.

Well, it's not the end of the world. 8-9 hours is still great, and the larger screen will be great for my study and notes side by side.

Yeah the larger screen will be worth it since I have vision issues. Plus having the larger screen will be handy for RadarScope when I’m out storm chasing. Plus I’m not gone long enough without access to AC outlets for a day. And if I am, I have battery banks.

Sadly, I would get the Larger 12.9" IPP if it wasn't for the fact that:
My Backpack's Laptop slot won't fit it lol
And with 256GB and the Pencil and Magic Keyboard, it's over $1500 and I might as well buy a Macbook Pro.

At that point, yeah. I’m due for a computer upgrade here soon. But I want to wait for Apple to transition to their new processors first. Anyway, no changes on my order. Nor the charge either. Waiting game continues. Glad yours has been charged for.

When did you Order? I ordered July 6, so if you ordered before me you should have been Charged.
