There is still 5-6 hours before those flights and mine leave - trust me you will make it :)

Those that made it out early HAD to because those were their only flights going out, or their packages were the first to get scanned or were pulled because UPS could fill the extra space on those flights :D
 
I think some people think TechDude flew to Korea and took their iPads off the plane just for fun...

Maybe not, because she did specify that mine was set as an exception. No matter what website i track on, my result is exception in China. If you have a departure, you are probably OK.
 
(Anyone else totally not able to keep up with the other threads anymore because this one moves so fast?)

I think I may follow some other posters' advice and hit up the Ambien tonight. That'll be one less person for TechDude to talk down from the ledge. :)

I plan on going to bed early, then waking up in a cold sweet at 2:30am, see my package still hasn't update and frantically come on here and post every few seconds questions to TechDude

Hahahaha thanks guys. It is actually kind of fun doing this... and can you BELIEVE that BestBuy won't hire me?! No interview, no nothing!

If they did, damn.... but hey, they are missing out. I was willing to work minimum wage and some crappy hours but I never got a call or an interview :(

In a nutshell, Best Buy sucks. :)

You'd totally make a great Apple Store employee, though. And I say that sincerely and based on the fantastic employees at mine.

techdude - like everyone else, I'm in awe of how you're basically managing not only this entire thread, but the hopes and dreams for everyone's Saturday! It's been said already in the thread, but your time is definitely appreciated.

Now, I don't know if I should be concerned because the UPS lady I spoke with said I'm still on schedule for a Saturday delivery, but I've been stuck in "SHIPMENT IS SUBMITTED TO CLEARING AGENCY FOR FURTHER CLEARANCE" for about 15 hours now. Here's my history:

If you had the job at Best Buy, you could have nabbed an iPad there tonight, and we would have been lost here without you. Maybe all the Korean flight 815 folks can wear your shirts to Best Buy tomorrow and start a flash mob!

Haha well Best Buy is close, I LOVE TECH!, my dad has been in the retail Furniture industry for 40 years and we take in about .75 mil a year (although that isn't all profit), and I can sell like a sonufabitch. So It fits :)

Plus my nearest Apple store is about 30 minutes away, and I can't work there until I am 18 :( While at BestBuy its 16 :)

And DO NOT WORRY - That is just a leftover of what Apple told UPS in China about holding it.

What I believe happened is that some packaged in China that didnt ship till late WERENT SUPPOSED TO! And rather UPS held them so they knew how many they had on hand, so after Apple's "last shipment" came out, they knew exactly how many they had left over for the final flights :)

So they told certain shipments to hold, but it wasn't necessary - but as it is scanned in at KY, it is just showing up and really is not an issue. They will review it and be like - oh, the hold is for today - and just move it along :)

Go back and re-read the last 20 pages of this thread. Alot of us are in the same state. As TechDude16 has stated many times its not in KR, its stateside. The status just hasn't been updated and probably won't until its at your local facility

read like 3 pages back... basically we are all at consensus that it is in the US. You may not see an update until it is local.

I will feel SOOO much better when I actually see it move from KY to my local UPS center. I've been in KY for several days. I don't want my iPad getting comfortable up there and decide to leave me for someone else....

Yeah BestBuy does totally suck. I worked there, hated it. I was leading in sales but all they did was try to find reasons to fire me (which they couldn't) because I was a minor at the time and the Manager didn't even know it (and they need a nonminor in the home theater section). Ended up quitting after several months. That was a great decision.
