For those of you fretting over their iPad tracking number just saying Billing Information Received, I wouldn't get too worked up over it.

UPS is bringing these in with a product called WorldEase. This product allows companies to bring in large quantities of merchandise under one tracking number, and then, once they clear customs the tracking numbers are updated to the individual numbers. The tracking #s should be updated by early tomorrow morning once they clear customs.

Just some food for thought, so stop worrying.

Any way to predict that number? :)

It isn't worth it lol... you can say it 20 times (I have said it AT LEAST that many times in the past 3 days) but it just won't comfort them. And I understand... I would feel the same way they are right now.

Mine got imported 3 times.

Maybe that means they just cloned it for you guys???

I'm bummed some have moved - I think my stuff doesn't move until around 2am. All my saturday stuff has come FedEx recently so don't know if it is going to Jax or Orlando before heading up here.

AND, i'm stressed for you guys in a holding pattern - really, i am

I'm sorry TechDude. We love you! :p

So hey, where's yours? Are you in/out of KY now?

Haha still Arrival in KY...

My UPS Flight (I know it by heart) UPS1144 from KSDF to Buffalo, NY will depart just before 4 AM, so I know they have plenty of time to clear and sort before then - so I am not worried :)

After it gets to Buffalo, it will jump on a semi-truck (or two sometimes!) for the 45 minute drive east to Rochester, where my friend Kim, my local Regional Manager :) - will oversee its sorting xD

GOOD NEWS TO EVERYONE IN THE KOREAN SHIPMENT!

I just waited a long time and spoke with the manager at UPS call center and she said that all those packages have cleared customs, and are schedueled for delivery TOMORROW! She said they have had a few hundred calls about this shipment and it is a GURANTEED DELIVERY!:apple::D:apple:

There is no way it's going to make it from Korea, to Anchorage, to Louisville, to various hubs in time for Saturday delivery if it's just now clearing customs.

I was "imported" twice. There's a UPS flight from Louisville to Jacksonville at around 5:30AM tomorrow. Cutting it close, but TechDude says it's not a problem. I think there was a flight into Orlando earlier this evening.

Thanks. This is what I got.

IN-TRANSIT

Lots of people have that status. A few post up someone says they talked to a manager a UPS who says the flight landed etc, and we will get our ipad tomorrow.

I know some think it won't happen, I think it is very possiblewe will get them since we are talking about lots of ipads and lots of sans that can be delayed for days.

I'm sorry TechDude. We love you! :p

Haha thanks Logos - you are one of the calm, thinking ones... one of the ones that I don't have to worry about spitting in my face if I even MENTION your iPad not coming tomorrow because I lied about your flight being there.... *WOOPS!* *runs to the airport for the next flight to Italy.... :D)

I think what he is saying it that is has cleared hours ago and they are in process like the many other boxes.

Not that it "just cleared". That flight landed hours ago.

From what those of us on the "Korea Flight of Doom™" know, it was an air scan so the cargo didn't get off the plane when it stopped in Korea on the way to Anchorage. Once in Anchorage early this morning it went bound for Kentucky.....so it landed in Kentucky this morning. Apparently UPS's sucky ass updating system is to blame for not updating because it's bogged down.

I haz to get out of Korea!!

My iPad is really going to miss Korea. It had such a great time, drinks at the hotel bar although a bit pricey were superb! And the restaurant the concierge recommended was spot on.

Haha, I would never hold you responsible for that. You have a lot of info and are putting out a ton of effort here. If things happen it ain't your fault for trying.

Also check your PMs.

I was so NOT stressed until you posted this......

i'm going back to my recent amazon orders and see how things went! LOL!

Just another perspective on the Louisville KY aspect of this thing from someone who does quite a bit of international shipping and importing...

A scan at Louisville, KY is not a physical scan. Louisville is simply used for customs paperwork. The packages do not go to Kentucky. The physical package goes to Anchorage. A package can be in another country and still have a Louisville scan if the paperwork is electronically transmitted...which it is in 95% of international UPS shipments.

Looks like I'm SOL. After talking with UPS a minute ago, it sounds like if your status is still only showing "Billing Information Received" and nothing else-- your iPad has not shipped and will not be delivered tomorrow.

ugh!!! how is this POSSIBLE? I ordered in the first half hour, before most of the people who ARE getting theirs tomorrow!

so incredibly angry at apple and ups right now!

My current status, it is supposed to be delivered in Richmond, VA which is the location of a sorting facility so I wonder if it is just going to catch a later plane.
