iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

But, I did just get an e-mail that my iPad case shipped via DHL... and if it somehow shows up tomorrow instead of my iPad, I will laugh very hard and die a little inside at the same time, lol.

GOOD NEWS TO EVERYONE IN THE KOREAN SHIPMENT!
I just waited a long time and spoke with the manager at UPS call center and she said that all those packages have cleared customs, and are schedueled for delivery TOMORROW! She said they have had a few hundred calls about this shipment and it is a GURANTEED DELIVERY!

I'll tell you what...if the iPad on the Korea Flight of Doom actually shows up tomorrow, I'm getting a T-Shirt made saying "I survived the Korea Flight of Doom". If you happen to see a 6'4", 260 lb. guy wearing that shirt, let me know you survived the Flight of Doom also.
Well UPS Flight #42 arrives here in Anchorage in 1 hour and 59 minutes from Kentucky, I guess a few hours after it lands I will see if my status changes to anything other than in transit Korea.
I hope so man, I am here also, waiting and being really bummed at the possibility of having to wait until Monday... I can SEE the UPS facility from my office window, and live less than a mile away...

I guess I am an Apple Kool-Aid drinker because I still believe that UPS will be delivering my iPad tomorrow as I was told when I pre ordered on day 1. Hopefully none of us will be dissapointed. In Steve we trust.

Great idea! It will help a lot of people and put them at ease
That is if you go by the PURE definition of that status - because that status DOES mean UPS does not have the package.
But even my package (and pretty much everyone else's) has had some sort of change / delay / mix up with their billing info scans.
I can only tell you that it may be an error, it may ship from KY when it gets scanned off a different pallet, or it may not update until it gets local.
If it doesn't come tomorrow I am sincerely sorry - did you get an email from Apple saying you don't have Saturday delivery?

Yikes a few hundred calls. Those poor customer service reps.
If they had just shipped it all via DHL we would be able to tell if someone was looking at your iPad funny during transit by the tracking info.

That's great except that other people have been told the opposite about this shipment.
I do appreciate the legwork, but it's been proven over and over that two people calling UPS with the same question will get two different answers every time. It's hard to place much faith at this point.

As I have said several times tonight, this also applies to you: A UPS flight from KSDF to Boston should leave around 4 AM. You should be on that flight

thats why some reps are obviously foreign and some are from their headquarters in KY - they had to bring in more to the intl. dept. to take the load xD
