Plus your weather forecast (aviation anyways) doesnt call for fog :)

Really, I did have a delay for fog a few weeks ago!

Glad there is no fog for tmrw, I don't miss the fog I lived with in CA. I might even hate the fog!!

Thanks for verifying the flight. A happy teen is an easier teen to live with (that would be my dd's ipad on the flight to be)

I am in the same boat or more accurately "airplane in Korea"
and I too am anxious. I also find relief that there are people more obbsessed than me and actually tract the ups planes :eek:

I also am not that worried from past experience of being in this situation and realizing the ups tracking can be very inaccurate!!
 
Be prepared

Preparing for iPad delivery

Check UPS tracking system
Check your original order for a misspelled address
Drive down to your local UPS facility to check if the building is not on fire
Watch the UPS promotional video
Check your local airport weather
Check UPS tracking system
Check your doorbell
Read Macrumors thread
Check UPS tracking system
 
Everyone concerned about theirs not arriving because it was scanned in KY or AK....you guys are fine. Dont worry...as long as you have saturday delivery in your area, you should have it by lunch time.

The korean flight of doomers...well, that's another story. From what Thomas UPS just said, sounds like we may be okay...I sure hope so...but yeah, you guys all tweaking out about being in a different state than your last scan can relax. Within the US=no need to worry yourselves.
 
I'm going to go try to occupy myself for as long as I can keep my self from coming back up stairs and checking in with you guys! Let's hope I can get further then where I am now.

IT JUST WENT THROUGH GENERAL SORT (the 17,000 conveyor belts in WorldShip)!!!!!!!

So it should be on its way to a dock right now, and be sitting in a CAN (shipping container) within the next hour or so, ready to be loaded onto UPS1144 to Buffalo NY.

OMFG! Hehe, so happy everything is going as I had predicted (yet I knew this would happen, but the novelty is still there :) )

Never the less I hope that everyone sees updates soon - this was UPS21 so those people's packages are probably being sent through too!

Now I can rest easy :D

Guys. There is no "Korean flight of doom". The iPads are all here in the States now waiting to be put out on the trucks in the morning. It's been pointed out by many that the tracking info is just all screwed up. You are all going to get your iPads tomorrow. (he said confidentially as he keeps hitting refresh on the UPS tracking page that shows nothing but 'Billing information received") :D
 
Hey guys i posted earlier today on pg 76 or 77 of this thread. I too am part of the korean flight.

First i also spoke to someone from UPS today and they as well told me to expect my package on Monday :( . But from what other people are saying on this thread it seems some who call are getting replies that it will still come tomorrow. I know there is Saturday shipping in my area.

Also How many people whose ipads left from korea are 64gb ? Not sure if there is a pattern but just curious.
 
Damn! I'm on the Korean Flight of Doom! LOL

Looks like the last time the damn thing was scanned was yesterday at 6:30 pm pacific time... I'm gonna guess it's made progress since then and will be delivered tomorrow, but UPS is behind.

I hope so at least, I cancelled a nice hike in the morning so I'd be home to sign for the package. I know there's a pre-sign thing, but I never trust those things.

Mine was a 16gb...

It is no use... I lasted about 12 minutes before sitting back down and checking... I was even checking on my iPhone while jogging and cooking dinner...:rolleyes:

I am on KFoD but 16GB WiFi. I spoke with a colleague with UPS just a minute ago, I am now kicking back with a cocktail, as I am no longer worried about KFoD.

Good news! Mine was on the same flight as yours to KY and mine just got a location scan seconds ago. Mine must be just a bit further down the line on the conveyor belt! LOL. Have a good night!
