iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

It's coming up on 1PM here on the East Coast. UPS's website is next to useless. I'm now thinking about executing Plan B.

I also reserved an iPad at my local Apple Store. That window of opportunity closes at 3. It's nearly decision time. I'm giving UPS one more hour.

I think all of us in the LA area are too. UPS might not scan them in. You might still have the Ontario Status, and you'll here a knock at your door. But I feel your pain. It doesn't take 2 hours from Ontario to Van Nuys. I'm hoping UPS tracking is just slow ;)

Feeling a little better that I'm not alone. But you're right about driving times....

I haven't seen or heard a UPS truck (we are right off 27) up this way. They must have all gone south to you guys!

'Saturday Delivery sticker on box. UPS driver said he has a TON of these to deliver today

I would have bought one had the BB here had them.

I could have been to the mall and back..... but oh well.

The father unit has the kid convinced it isn't showing up since it went to St Augustine - so she isn't freaking out.

We shall see......
 
I wonder why us in LA didn't have our iPads sent to Vernon instead of Ontario. I have had all my other packages go through there. Plus Vernon is closer than Ontario

Got it! Typing on it right now. Fantastic device! Can't believe how thin it is. Screen is amazing! Typing on landscape is not bad at all. Certainly useable.
 
Every time I hear a noise outside my apartment my heart skips a beat. I may die before it gets here :)
 
i think iam going to go buy a helicopter so i can spot out how close the ups truck is from my house

I'm not sure of your exact location - but BestBuy in Ocala doesn't have an Apple section? They seem to, according to the website.

Great men think alike. But I am not going to do it. We'll wind up having to bother to ship the UPS one back and wait for the money to be refunded on the credit card.
 
If you're bored and waiting for your shipment to arrive, you could go look up past UPS shipments to your house and try and guess what time it's going to come. Since most of my shipments are during the week, it may not mean anything...but hey...it's something to keep your mind off it. :p By the way, in a sampling of 6 UPS shipments (all ground) the arrival time ranged from 11:30AM to 3:30PM. I did have one for 9:30 but that shipment was specifically for "Next Day, Before 10:00AM".

Hey man could you post your UPS tracking log here so i can compare to mine and see if we were on the same flight/truck? I just need something to put my mind at ease.
