iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

So no, it's not in KY yet.
I have some news that should make everyone happy. I just got delivered a package that I ordered, and asked my driver about Saturday Delivery and he told me that according to UPS policy all saturday deliveries must be completed before Noon local time. So that means by noon all the iPads should be in our hands.
Now regarding those who do not get Saturday Delivery then I don't have an answer for you.

Mine was only just prepared for shipment last night and I got my tracking number this morning. I was starting to get worried, but that's more because of my worrisome personality than the use of logic or reason in developing a reasonable fear or concern.
But still, it's always nice to get a tracking number.
Now I'm just trying to decide if I should cancel my iPad Case order from the Apple Store and just venture over to Best Buy on Saturday and pick one up. I'm torn. Of course, I could just go to Best Buy if my case doesn't come with my iPad and if I do pick up a case, just return the one from Apple when it comes if it's shipped by then.

Why cancel your case order? You will probably get the case before you get the iPad. My case was charged yesterday, which means it should be shipping today or tomorrow.
Mine was prepared for shipment yesterday, but I'm still waiting on a tracking number.
I think you have that backwards. iPad delivers by 4/3. Cases and docks ship by 4/3 (if you ordered them early enough). I'm expecting my case and dock no sooner than 4/5.

Oh, I didn't really think you were worried . . . just excited like most of us are. I think it's fun watching your iPad's progress to it's destination.
The anticipation is almost as much fun as having it in your hands.
I was simply checking to see if the item would in fact get here on Saturday as stated by Apple. This is why tracking info is made available to the general public so they can accuratley check where their packages sit and when they will arrive. I dont see how it is really effecting you if people are a little bit excited about a new product arriving and want to see when it will exaclty get to their houses. It is not much different than tons of people setting up campsites outside Apple stores
Yeah but it's kind of anal to be bothering them 4 days before the release date. I'm just as excited as anybody else and it's cool to be really excited, but to say that the tracking number not saying exactly what you want to is an "issue" is kind of ridiculous.
Some of you people would be better off if they didn't give out tracking numbers. The guy who waits casually until Saturday for his iPad (as was promised when we all ordered them) and the guy who obsessively checks his e-mail/order status/tracking number and bugs people on the phone all day are both going to get their iPad on Saturday. I understand the excitement, but obsessing over tracking details does not equate to "being excited"; it equates to somewhere along the lines of paranoia and insecurity.
okay point taken...jeez...didnt know I was going to rile anyone up by being obsessive...okay okay...Ill back it off...I just wanted to know when I was going to receive. I guess with me, I usually buy in store and not via Apple website so this is a first for me so thats why I am a little bit more obsessive since it was a big chunk of money to drop and its different than getting in hand at the store....but your somewhat right...Apple said April 3rd so it will be April 3rd! thanks...
They (Apple) don't charge until it is ready to be shipped. "Ships by" is just delivery padding. It is very likely people will recieve them this week.
We will see I guess, but, not having the case before my iPad is still not going to get me into an Apple store on the 3rd

I'm guessing they're going from west to east. A friend of mine hasn't gotten his shipping confirm, he's in Manhattan, along with me, both of our orders are on "Prepared fro shipment" status. So just calm down, I guess UPS and Apple have an exclusive deal... Or something like that.
