I can't believe I've been sitting around all day waiting for this thing. I think the girlfriend is irritated, but it's already after 2:30 no sense giving up now!
 
Hopefully Apple gets a ton of complaints about the awful UPS "delivery" and will never use them again.

UPS is the worst uggh in Fresno CA

OK, I ordered my IPAD at 6:35AM on March 12th, I got a tracking number last TUESDAY.

now here is where my IPAD is:
ONTARIO, CA, US 04/03/2010 7:50 A.M. DEPARTURE SCAN
update: FRESNO, CA, US 04/03/2010 9:10 A.M. ARRIVAL SCAN but this did not show up on the web until 11:50 today, so UPS web tracking sucks.

Ontario is 3.5 hours away! So I'm hoping for afternoon delivery, but this is the first time I've had to wait this long, my IPHONE 3GS showed up at 10AM sharp from..FEDEX.

The Reason for the slowness

UPS is the worst.. They are super slow and always make mistakes..
Remember, each one of these has to be signed for. And all the people in front of us are those people who take 20 minutes at the ATM. So getting that signature slows things down.
 
^ probably, but if only UPS would update their stupid tracking info to "out for delivery" i would not complain..

You can try to ask but it won't be anything fancy. Apple broke the guarantee, so probably UPS is refunding Apple the cost, and Apple will give some of it back. Most likely a free case or 20$ gift card or something like that. Apple do have a history of compensating people for their troubles.

Apple guaranteed April 3rd delivery for those who get Saturday delivery. So he does have some points to complain about. By guaranteeing the shipment, APple made the owner not reserve for in-store pickup. So he wasted his time and time=money, so he did waste money waiting for the UPS.
 
This thread has pretty much died except for the few people who UPS are currently screwing by taking forever.
