I called UPS International and I gave them my Tracking number and he said is this for the iPad. I said ya! and he goes the reason your not seeing any information is because Apple has a thing with UPS and that they will be delivered on Saturday but it will take it a longer to update on the sitte
In essence...
I would wait a little bit longer though because sometimes they don't show up RIGHT away - like people's scans for 4:11 PM EST departures are coming at about 5 PM EST... so we do have to leave SOME lee way.
But again, they may bring in a later flight that day to pick them up.
But lets see tonight what the statuses show, because remember how people's statuses showed 8 AM and 4 AM and other AM Export scans? Those should happen as the packages are prepared for the flight out tomorrow morning, and those should reflect tonight or overnight tonight
Thanks for the reply. I'm just going to take a deep breath, perhaps grab a beer, and continue to browse RSS feeds with all the iPad news! LOL. Will try not to worry until tomorrow.

Also those timestamps are the same because - as I said before (haha I love it when it works like I know it does) they are scanning by manifest, no longer by single parcels

I am doing the same. (Sans the beer cus I am 16 )Exactly. All of those extra scans could confuse certain people.
No offense to the previous poster, but I don't really thing Apple has a "thing" with UPS to delay tracking info - that isn't simple with the system, and by the time they did it for all the shipments they would waste more time on making sure people couldn't track it, rather than the logistics teams spending their time making sure the FLIGHTS are on time and that the posts can handle the sorting.
So no offense, you may be right - but I call BS. I mean, why in the hell would they care if we knew where they were anyways? We still can't get them until Saturday regardless.
For those of you who received an email saying Saturday delivery isn't available, could you try this out? Go to the UPS website's Calculate Time and Cost page and try calculating the cost for a shipment that goes out tomorrow (Friday) to your ZIP code. Doing this should give you options like next day, ground, etc. When I did this with my ZIP code, the next day option said the package would be delivered Saturday, leading me to believe that Saturday delivery is available in my ZIP code (I didn't receive an email yet stating it isn't).

I didn't get my e-mail from Apple until Tuesday night, so my notification has always been behind everyone else.
I would panic, but I sometime get Amazon packages within a day or so of ordering even with free shipping. Guess it pays to be between Chicago and Milwaukee -- a good market for shipping.
Of course, I ordered my Cubs World Series victory commemorative edition of Sports Illustrated a long time ago and am still waiting delivery.

I've never seen this location before in other people's tracking. (I know you have been mentioning HK but my geography is terrible and I'm not able to keep up with the thread atm.) Is the theory now that this is actually the FIRST wave? LIke, those other KY/AK messages were never really physically there?

Congrats! Now you can go back to reading all those positive iPad reviews and rest a little more secure that you'll have yours delivered on Saturday! Mine has been lounging in Louisville for a few days (or stealthily making its way here incognito, whichever.)
Hong Kong is part of China. iPhones had a departure scan through Chek Lap Kok. You're en route to Anchorage, sounds like to me. But I'll let the expert chime in for confirmation.

Just an error - trust me it is going to Guanzhou, they have a dedicated Customs terminal there (Hong Kong does too, but Guangzhou is less used because most major shipments go through Hong Kong).

I am so excited!
We should expect some updates sometime within the next few hours, as Guangzhou is only about 1:30-2 hours to reach it from Hong Kong.
It is also interesting to see that it scans from Chek Lap Kok, as that is the sort facility IN VHHH hong Kong international. Maybe they were keeping them there and waiting to see if they would allocate them to a VHHH or ZGGG flight

Mine left Guang Zhou at 4:10 am (whatever the heck time that is here). Cool, I'm not too concerned, really... though looking at some of the apps screenshots has made me a little giddy for the first time since I realized I need to replace my Macbook Pro (though once my iPad is here, Ill STILL be waiting for the refreshes to those). And then there's the Verizon iPhone, that may or may not exist.

I was just wondering what the difference is between these two points of departure. In short, I still don't have a picture of the route in my head. I'm supposedly in transit to KY but you all are saying AK for customs?

It appears that they all go through Alaska for customs. So it will go from Guangzhou to Anchorage to Louisville.
