same here, it would be nice if tomorrow we got the dispatch email and when we track it , its already out for delivery..., i know it won't happen, but it would be nice.

i'll keep you informed if i get the dispatch email

You are bound to get first - I live in Edinburgh so its prob got further to travel - though have no idea where the PCWorld depot is!

i've been searching, and i think i've found where the depot is, its at a place called Magna Park in Lutterworth, Leicester.

so thats about 15-20 Miles from me, its so close but so far... still waiting for that dispatch email, its driving me nuts

PC World (or DSG Group) also have a huge warehouse in Newark which was where my iMac shipped from... That said, it was a few years back... From my memory of working for DSG (again years ago) - they have about 3 warehouses that they tend to ship most products from, usually via DHL.

That said, Magna Park was where my Apple ordered iPad shipped from... The amount and type of companies that use Magna Park must mean there is some serious security on-site... Apple, John Lewis, Computer 2000, TNT, DHL etc etc
 
update: Email with Tracking Number Received at 10:09am this morning, but item still not trackable as yet, as it needs time to go through the dhl system, so its on its way, hope your've got your email aswell.. now the countdown begins...

Have you managed to get a good case for yours, i ordered from amazon.co.uk the Switcheasy Nude Ultraclear iPad case, only £21, and its nice, comes with a stand and screen protector...

i'm guessing you'll get your email late this afternoon or early this evening, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you...

now that i've received the email, today is gonna drag isn't it.... , now i'm gonna be stuck in the vicious circle of checking dhl now.... arrrghhh
 
I expect delivery within 12 hours of you seeing as how I ordered less than 12 hours after you and well before their supposed cut off time!! Suspect however that the security check has caused a 24 hours delay.

To be honest as long as it is here for Friday I'll be happy - ish!!:p

Maybe we should rename this thread 'RaiSensei and TOL wait for their 32GB ipads from PCWORLD!'
 
given up on Apple and ordered from PC World.
ordered at 1305, says payment has gone through ok but no email yet. Called them and they said they are waiting for authorisation from bank?? ugh.

Are you having delivered to the same address as billing address? I am not and think that is why I got a random security check on Saturday morning which has delayed the processing. E-mail confirming that order being processed came within about 20 mins after that call (24 hours after placing the order!)

Am still waiting on my despatch confirmation e-mail :(

Could you call the bank and tell them to authorise ASAP!

Got home and found email in junk saying order was being processed.
I am having it delivered to work so I phoned them up and they said due to all the fraud they are being very cautious and possibly they are doing a check 1st (no confirmation yet)

I think you may get a call tomorrow asking you some questions about your order just to check you did place the order.

another bod here just cancelled order via apple store and have reserved one for instore collection from PC World.

It troubles me to spend money in that place once again over the full apple experience I've come to enjoy, but I'm going on my hols on Friday and what's the point of the iPad if it's not to geek out on the beach?
 
its annoying when your sitting at home on a day off, keeping an eye on any vehicle which comes down your street....arrrrggggghhhhhh

I would have preferred to go to the Apple Store having previously vowed never to go to PCWorld again but given I had to order for delivery I went to PCW since it's quicker and I should be getting 3% cashback via quidco. Since just getting delivered really makes no odds who sends it - and I do prefer PCW 3 working days over Apple's 7-10 days!

Went to PCW years ago to buy a laser / LED printer and was swithering between two models - I asked if they would set one up for me as they did not have example print outs. Girl said no and basically the difference between the two was like a skoda and a BMW. Cheeky mare for all she knew I might have owned a Skoda!! I didn't BTW but thought she was a bit offensive so walked out!!!!!!! Went round the corner to Byte and they set up the display model and demo'ed for me quite happily! Was gutted to alter discover they got bought over by PCW!! That was about 15 years ago so maybe time to drop the grudge :D

its still classed as out for delivery, and im going nuts, especially when i need to go out and get shopping, and i cant go out until it turns up....arrrghhhh

just got the 'preparing for delivery' email about an hour ago.

getting delivered to work and I have just recently opened up a company account with DHL for daily collections/deliveries so hopefully no dramas.

No dispatch e-mail!! Just called and they say the order is released but not dispatched yet, that they couldn't tell me when it would be dispatched and that IT COULD TAKE UNTIL FRIDAY FOR DELIVERY!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: Said I should get a dispatch e-mail by tomorrow but to be honest I think he was really just guessing. Now I know I said in an earlier post as long as I have it by Friday I will be fine but I didnt really mean it lol. Was told it is 3-5 working days so I pointed out that website says 3 working days. I also pointed out that my friend ordered their a few hours before and that theirs is out for delivery today - that will be you RS BTW!!!
 
Just got my dispatch e-mail with tracking number - think my call may have spurred things on. :) Have a feeling that it was stuck on the system after the random security check!

How long will have to wait for details on the tracking system I wonder!
