iPad shipping waiting period UK

I opened the pcworld box and lifted the ipad box out and lifted it to the air, the wife then said, that looks like the lion king, so i have named the iPad Simba !!!

Hmmm will need to think of a name - Macbook is called Mac so that one's out! Maybe something that goes with Mac - maybe Mic or Little Mac!! :p
 
i'm guessing your will turn up first thing tomorrow morning, it will come in the brown box that apple puts the ipad box in, so even your ipad box is protected...all i can say is...wow, youtube is even fun, and steve jobs was right the internet is better when its in your hand

Don't know if you watch a programme called Grey's Anatomy (we're obsessed in our hosue :D) the main characters sister gets called Little Grey - hence my thoughts of Little Mac. Wee Mac would be fine though too!

I was thinking more along the lines of the Nac Mac Feegle from Terry Pratchett's books. Looking at your lineup you could have Mac, Big Mac (17" MacBook) Wee Mac (iPhone) and No'-As-Big-As-Mac-But-Bigger-than-Wee-Mac Mac (iPad) :D
 
Do PCW online prices include VAT?

Also, is there Collect@Store feature accurate? My brother's visiting near London and would like him to pick up an iPad on Saturday. Only have one day for pickup as he'll be on the plane come Sunday.

The PCW website includes VAT in the prices for iPad. Just go here and chose the iPad and location you want to collect it from to see if there's one available.
 
Thanks Phil. It's currently available in 3 stores within 20miles of his post code. I'll try the system again on Friday/Saturday seeing that he has only 24hours to pick up. Fingers crossed...
 
TOL, Keep us informed when you get your iPad, Simba is being filled with Apps, Music and Videos, Plants Vs Zombies HD is amazing, much better than the iPhone version, i might have to get another one, the wife is addicted to playing Flight Control HD
 
Still waiting on mine to be delivered, estimated shipping date of the 19th and delivery on the 21st. The suspense is killing me!
 
yeah it is! I ordered it on the 3rd and am hoping that the estimated delivery time is accurate. Would love to be able to take it with me when I commute upto London in a few weeks. How are you finding yours so far?

I was going to go to Glasgow at the weekend as they still had some 32GB 3G's in stock on Thursday but had the in laws staying :rolleyes: so couldn't!!

Still not had a further update on DHL since it was collected from PCW at 13.20 - maybe it is coming up to a Scottish depot instead of Hams Hall or maybe the DHL driver is playing with MY IPAD :eek:?

Hopefully it wont have a schedule like this

I doubt you'll get 2 of em, but you never know, I'm guessing you'll get yours later today, keep us posted, I'm actually writing this using the iPad, I don't think I'll use my macbook pro for the internet at all now...poor MacBook pro
 
No am sure wont get 2! It went out for delivery at 9am so hopefully will arrive soon as going out at 1.30pm for meeting for rest of day - though can pop in on way home if necessary to collect. Got it delivered to work as we have a 24 hr reception which is great for getting parcels that need signed for delivered ;)

Cherimoya - is yours out for delivery now too?
 
got my tracking number this morning so delivery tomorrow. I bet if I had left it with Apple the delivery would have already been made even though shipping date had been the 16th.
 
Just ordered my 16gb wifi from
Pc world today as they have just become available.was hoping to pick one up instore but they have been out of stock in The northwest and Yorkshire for a while.

Anyway,had a read of this thread but how long did it generally take people to get theirs from pc
World online? Ordered this afternoon at about 1:30pm.
