Wait, I didn't know you could program buttons to perform all those functions. That's incredible. Can't wait to load the beta on my iPad tonight!

Let us know how it works out. Meanwhile, I'm waiting for the COMPLETELY tested version.

I've try it. (MS Remote Desktop) and it work just like we using PC. the missing piece is just right click and scroll.
If you do want full compatibility use Jump Desktop and the Citrix X1 mouse - that mouse is optimized for Jump Desktop and is also supported by iOS 13’s mouse support.

Its does if you double click on text you’re wanting to highlight. Works in every app I tried it in so far.

Also discovered that by long pressing the left mouse clicker initiates the highlight function. I’m assuming it makes a sound to notify you that text has been highlighted. Cool function!

Right - basically it mimics a finger so a long click in iOS in many ways is a right click to the system, I really wish there was a programmable way to do this rather than clicking and holding.
[doublepost=1560110053][/doublepost]The new mouse pointer in iOS 13 looks quite a bit like what Ubisoft does in AC Odyssey - these are the two pointers side by side in Remote Play -

Pretty cool Mouse controls I found in settings. You can set a Mouse button to invoke the Assistive Touch Menu - where a setting for multitasking is found.
It allows you to easily add split view and slide over apps with the mouse - automatically bringing up the dock in the process. Here’s a video .

If you take an iPad, then add a physical keyboard, and then add a mouse, it’s a laptop, isn’t it.

So what’s the big deal.

That is fantastic - finding it is even better by making it a single purpose menu so it goes straight to those options! - https://twitter.com/iPadProsPodcast/status/1138581106192723970

If the cursor is more like computer cursor, it would be much nicer.

The keyboard and mouse model/type that can be connected is still limited. For example, PC keyboard will not work with iPad. Only Mac keyboard work.
Also, iOS is not specifically designed for mouse and keyboard. So the control could be weird/awkward from time to time.

It’d look awesome if the stock cursor had some transparency like that other one instead of just being a big black circle.

For what its worth, I hooked up a cheap USB-c non powedered dock to my 2018 IPP. Then plugged in a $10 Cdn usb receiver/mouse combo and it worked. A 2 TB exfat formatted hard drive was also recognized. I was able to copy files from icloud drive to the hard drive. Music and some videos could play directly from the hard drive just by double clicking on the video file. Some files didn't work (x265); but then I didn't try opening them w/VLC.

The mouse 'pointer' though is butt ugly. Switching the iPad to dark mode and cursor colour red made things a bit more tolerable.

Now iPad pro has the ability to challenge the surface pro

Once the front-line applications are upgraded that may be true. But I think they are really two different devices, starting from two different markets. And there will always be some apps available on one platform and not the other.

The scroll wheel didn't work for me when I tried it. My logitech mx2 did though. Happy to use both for the beta, I read on the jump forums they might try and get more mice supported now, but guess we'll have to wait and see.

Has anything changed in Beta 2 regarding mouse support? Is it improved or is it still the same? No Magic Mouse 2 support? Still only the choice for a large and extra large cursor?

Not at all. It is still an awfully large circle without any option to make it look nicer.

I am trying the iPad with the mouse, and I do not know the best word to describe this experience.

I am browsing a full-featured Google Suite of tools + Google Analytics + Google Ads, with a mouse and keyboard and this thing is faster than my Macbook Pro with 12+ hours of battery life, on a thin slate device, that you can use a 9ms latency stylus on and with all the apps that iOS offers.

And Full-blown Civ 6 on the iPad with mouse

Considering that a Macbook 12inch is the smallest portable Mac with an oh so slow intel processor.

I do not know about you but this iPad Pro for me beats the 12-inch Macbook.

I don't believe so. I can't get the Magic Mouse 2 or Magic Trackpad 2 to connect to it.
