That is if you have a 2012 Samsung experience. Things have changed, the note 10 series and S10 series is EXCELLENT. Unless you’re bias or misinformed you cannot deny that.

I agree. There’s bias here but this is an Apple forum. There’s absolutely no doubt that the Note 10 series is a better smartphone than the iPhone Pro. However no one can come close to Apple’s integration between the likes of the iPhone and Apple Watch. Not saying the iPhone Pro is a bad device it’s just not the best.

Until the iPhone gets true multitasking it won’t be the best. Once you experience true multitasking you don’t know what it is

You are being selective in saying what is "best" though. Why not better photos and better battery life? Those are better on iPhone. I see "true multitasking" on screen less than 7" in size to be useless in most situations. Obviously you see some value to it and that is fine, but that's as subjective as most things when trying to declare one phone the "best".

Looks like you haven’t experienced true multitasking then.

It’s just as useful on a smartphone.

Just as? Come on. Screen size is irrelevant to effective multitasking now? Makes no sense. Regardless, it is obviously useful to you on a smartphone and that is fine, but it is not THE most important feature most are looking for in a smartphone so saying a phone cannot be the "best" without it is just arbitrary reasoning.

"The iPhone 11 Pro isn't the best smartphone" is an extremely subjective statement. For my personal use case, the iPhone 11 Pro is the best smartphone. If I ever decided to switch to Android, Samsung wouldn't even be up for consideration, regardless of how visually appealing their hardware may be. What works for some may not work for others.

Exactly. I'm so used to Face ID that Google Pixel 4XL would be the only non-iPhone alternative I would consider since the Note 10+ face unlock is a joke. Then there is the notorious Samsung bloatware. Not sure if Google's phone has that problem as well, but it would be a dealbreaker if it did. Regardless, iPhone 11 Pro Max is definitely the best smartphone.....for me.

Other than Samsung's bloatware, their slower-than-a-turtle-on-Vicodin software update pace also sours the experience. Let's not forget that they shipped the Note 10 with last year's version of Android and it's unknown when it'll be updated to the current version, particularly where carrier meddling is involved. Then there are things like this:

Although the Pixel is probably the only iPhone alternative I'd consider, primarily because of the excellent camera system and bloat-free/skin-free version of Android with direct from Google updates, it has issues of its own, face unlock being one of them.

I get the note 10 launched the current version of android was android pie. Android 10 was still in beta and not publicly available.

From what I understand, manufacturers typically receive Android code months prior to official rollout. A couple of years ago, LG actually beat Google to the punch by being the first to release a phone with Nougat (the LG V20). It's no secret that timely updates are not a priority for Samsung.

Samsung’s software is terrible, I was a Sammy fan boy for many years and every single one I had got laggy and buggy. They add a lot of features but can’t execute the basics well

I hated galaxy phones up until the s7

Since then their software has made leaps and bounds progress

Are they my preference? No. iOS is.

But for android phones they are really good

Plus the Apple customer service/support also adds to the ownership experience. Being able to walk into any Apple store, worldwide, and get my phone either repaired or replaced while I wait is invaluable!

I disagree. Though I still like Apple phones and tablets.

There is no objective best, only a subjective best. Until the note gets real Face ID, better video and deep fusion, faster processor, it wont be the best. (The point is it’s easy to choose your subjective criteria)

I’m now with iPhone and it’s working out great for me BUT I can hand on heart concede that your post is just not true with current oneUI. Samsung have made leaps over several years and right now are at the top of their game. The note 10 is a dream to use. My son had a few niggles with his S10+ initially but that also runs impeccably currently.

I think the OPs post was always going to turn this into another Apple/sammy thing. A game of “likes” Perhaps intentional OP? 😉

I don’t get involved really but I just wanted to point out that despite the baiting..it’s perfectly okay to appreciate alternatives and even give credit where due. I love my iPhone but I appreciate all good tech in general. I get quite excited to mess around other devices

Provide some objective evidence instead of your opinion. You saying xxx is a better smartphone means nothing. Because of what? Hardware features? A pen? "True" multitasking on a 6 inch device? Hilarious.

Note 10 is a great phone but it’s not a better smartphone than the 11 pro max for me. Does it have more features? Sure but how many do people actually use?

and you sure as hell cant say it’s the best smart phone when you don’t get notifications on time. Having 15 notifications all come through when you wake your phone up? Err no that’s poor and been Samsung main issue and androids main issue known as android doze where when the screen is locked for a period of time notifications will not come through when they come through...

Would true multitasking be used on the iPhone? Yeah I would use it and it’s the only feature I miss from Samsung devices...that and picture in picture
