can you guess or predict the prices for each of the 4 iPhones 12 or the upcoming iPhones without tax in USD?

iPhone 12 (5.4 inch)

iPhone 12 Plus (6.1 inch)

iPhone 12 Pro (6.1 inch)

iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inch)

Providing a range. This is for base models with lowest level storage only.

12 - 5.4”
699 - 799

12 - 6.1”
+100

12 Pro - 6.1”
999-1099

12 Pro - 6.7
+100/150

I expect 12 to come with 64 GB. Additional 100 for 256 GB. Or additional 50 for 128 GB and further additional 100 for 256 GB.

I expect Pro to come with 128 GB. Additional 100 for 256 GB. Additional 200/250 for 512 GB. And maybe a 1 TB option.

you dont think the smallest iPhone 5.4 will get lower price than the base iphone 11 which is 699?

I think it’ll be better then the base iPhone 11.

Probably the same camera and RAM, but with an OLED screen and maybe some other tweaks. Hell, I’m gonna buy it for the size alone.

I’d pay $1000 for a 5.4” iPhone with the same features as the current iPhone 11. Size matters!

It will have a way better camera than the current 11. Same 4 GB RAM. Better in a few ways. Priced similar or slightly more expensive than the 11.

with more than half of the current iPhone sales is the base iPhone 11 at 699USD doubt they'll make the lower iPhone at 999USD

but seriously, if it just oled upgrade only, with same camera, no sense in upgrading from 11 to the 12.

majority or almost all wont if thats the case lol.

I’ll be downgrading from the 11 Pro to the 5.4” 12.

I hate that I’m *this* excited for it and it’s still eight months away...

Possibly not, since the new 5.4” will supposedly be OLED.

I believe the only LCD iPhone would probably be the iPhone 12 (Basically what the iPhone 11 was.) The rumor was, eventually Apple will transition completely to OLED, as Apple did have a contract with Japan display who, who manufactures Apples LCD panels, but I know there was some type of payment negotiation issues.

Is that recent? It was said that all iPhones will be OLED if thats the case then the iPhone might get expensive and will not be 699USD.

if they are LCD on the other hand, the 5.4 inch might be priced to 649USD

Right, as I said, eventually Apple will transition completely to OLED for all the panels. The latest rumor back in the beginning of December actually suggested that.

But Apples previous contract including Japan Display, which were supplying Apple with LCD panels.

I hope the iPhone 12 continues to use LCD if it keeps the price at £729. I don’t want Apple scrimping on features like the camera which kept the 11 close to the 11 Pro this year, just to put an OLED on the device. I’m really not bothered if my iPhone has OLED or LCD as long as all the important bits are there. We all have different demands though, but I like how the current lineup is structured.

exactly why will you get the 12 when its only improvement which is the OLED not to mention it will only increase the price.

To lessen the cost of OLED and keep the 699USD price like iPhone 11 6.1 inch, they might use the 699USD to 5.4 inch iPhone instead. In that way they can keep the cost and price of iPhone 699USD

12 Pro 6.7" - $1199
12 Pro 6.1" - $1099

Sub 6 and mmWave 5G. All starting at 128GB, so while they are $100 more expensive than 11, but gives slightly more "value". The 256GB Priced $ 1299 and 512GB $1499. Both are only $50 plus compared to last year.

12 6.1" - $799
12 5.4" - $699

Sub 6 5G Only. ( Nothing wrong with that mmWave is pretty much useless in the foreseeable future ) All Starting at 128GB. So in reality it is only $50 premium compared to last year's 128GB Price. Personally I hope they stick to LCD and bump the res to 400PPI instead of going with OLED. Having said that OLED has a very clear roadmap of improvement for the next 5 years along with cost reduction that makes it cheaper than LCD in ~2 years time.

All of the iPhone 12 lineup should have Qualcomm modem. Not sure about you but I would be very happy.

11 6.1" - $599 ( or $649 )
XR 6.1" - $499 ( or $549 )

$100 Dollar price drop but starting with 64GB. Pretty damn good value if you ask me.

9 ? 4.7" - $399 ( or $449 )

Replacing all the Non - FaceID iPhone with a single unit. No more Plus Model. I would imagine the iPhone 9 will be introduced in March and gets updated every March from now on.

( Apple has a tendency to not drop the price as much at the bottom end. So the alternative price where given. )

Before anyone shouts the price increases in iPhone 12 lineup, if the rumours of the iPhone 4 boxy design were true like the image below ( Rendered by Ben Geskin ) , I would bet they will still sales like hot cakes, possibly breaking the previous revenue record.

P.S I would also imagine this will likely be the last major redesign for iPhone. The next minor change would be under screen Face ID where we get rid of the notch in iPhone 14 or 15.

Edit: With the New Apple Quarterly Report and Tim Cook emphasis on 5G worldwide rollout. I now think Apple will likely launch all iPhone 12 without mmWave support. Which means 12 Pro pricing will likely be the same overall. With iPhone 12 splitting between 749 and 649.

I’m used to big phones now so the 5.4” won’t be of interest to me. If the 6.1” is increased in price, i’ll just buy a 2019 iPhone instead and get what I want that way.

You might be right.

the only way for iPhone 11 6.1 inch customers to feel satisfied that the 699USD iPhone is better in value despite getting a SMALLER which is 5.4 inch iPhone is the 128GB storage, the OLED screen isnt a big upgrade from an LCD iPhone 11 because there's really not a big noticeable difference unless you 2 phones (other is OLED) side by side at the same time.

One word; 5G.

Forget about the Prosumer, Geeks or Enthusiast, which at best may only represent 5% of the market. Most consumer are hyped up about 5G. Or at least they want to buy a Phone that will last them longer, so they dont have to upgrade another 2-3 years. There is also a factor of design. I am not sure if iPhone 12 will get a design makeover like iPhone 12 Pro as well. New design *Sell*.

And if the pricing were true it also means Apple has successfully pushed up the iPhone prices yet again.

I guess all these are now expected by the market anyway. The Stock price already has most of these priced in.

I don’t think there is a huge hype for 5G personally. How many years has 4G been out and it’s still patchy? I do agree people are keeping phones much longer than they used to though. I think the fact the XR and 11 have been so popular should be a clear indicator to Apple that most consumers aren’t wanting to pay in excess of £1k on a device. If they don’t react to this and continue to deliver, it’s very high risk I would say in a market that has shrunk in recent years.

I think may be hype was not the right word to use. But anticipation, or even just "knowledge" of 5G existence. Consumer dont know what 4G or even 5G is. But they know 5G is something "new" and will last for a while. Quite a lot are holding before upgrading. Of course those consumer who renew their contract every 2 years will buy an iPhone 11 now anyway as they are not the group that tends to care about these sort of thing. Despite the drop of Contract and Phone bundling, the percentage and numbers are still fairly high.

exactly its OBVIOUS fact that they werent expecting the XR to be the most successful phone during 2018 and the 11 to be even bigger success than they were expecting by selling more than half of total iphone sales currently

they will be losing a lot if they remove that target market by increasing the prices of the phones from the current 699USD

the majority doesnt even care about OLED screen, what more about that cares about 5G?

its not like its an era of slow internet connection we are having

Every analyst predicted the XR and 11 would be successful. In early 2018, the prediction was 100 million units of XR sold in the second half of the year. In other words, half of iPhone sales were expected to be XR. The fact that iPhone XR and 11 were widely in stock confirms Apple's estimates were correct.

The hype of 5G depends on where you live. If you're living in an country like China where 5G has already been deployed to 50 cities and 10 million have subscribed, you'll care about 5G. But if you live in the UK where they haven't even started procuring equipment, then the consumers will certainly be less enthusiastic.

not enough of a big deal if you ask those XR and 11 customers. The XS and Pro customers surely majority would want it.

iPhone 5G is intended to target iPhone 7 and 8/X owners.

The average iPhone replacement cycle is about three to four years. Those customers will be getting a new form factor, new camera, and 5G. It’ll be a pretty convincing upgrade and Apple’s 5G stack may go as low as $600 for the 5.4”.

If they are able to make a 599USD 5G iPhone then that will blow the competition. Not even Samsung can offer flagship at that level.

I'm not sure anyone would consider a 5.4" iPhone 5G with dual-lenses a flagship device.

Today, Xiaomi sells a 6.7" LCD device with 5G (Qualcomm modem) and quad-rear lenses for $289. In mid-2018, Samsung launched their A20 with 6.4" OLED and dual-rear lenses for $249.

A 5.4" iPhone 5G in late 2020 for $600 won't be groundbreaking.
