On the apple store app. Put it in bag. Then edit and hit the plus button. Save it and edit and hit plus again to go up. And save. Ronse repeat. You will see available for pick up today. Eventually it will say currently unavailable for pick up. So you can determine from there how many they received.
Example if you put 6 and shows available but then on 7 it shows unavailable. Then they have 6 stock left for online store orders
I gave up and went to the dark side, since I haven't been there in a while. I never remember in store stock being this bad. Plus Apple wasn't updating my 13PM as paid. Walked right into a VZW store and upgraded for no installments since my trade covered the new device other than the tax and upgrade fee
Congrats!! I’m jealous. I’m on a prepaid plan and I want Apple Card installments anyways, so I can’t just go to a carrier or to Best Buy even though they’re in stock. Enjoy your new phone!!
Tons of stock in my area today. After refreshing the checkout page thousands of time in a span of a few hours I finally have my 128GB SB PM. 35 minutes drive, so not that bad.
I've seen some reporting today from the usual suspects that 14 Pro/Max stock is definitely dwindling if not gone at this point. What's unclear to me is if it's because this is going to be a mega popular model or if shortages are still affecting manufacturing.
Looks like I'm going to try to pick up a 14 Pro Max, I'm not happy with the 14 Pro battery life. I said in another thread on here that I wanted to stick with the 14 Pro but it's just not working out for me as well as I had hoped. I have to return my 14 Pro by Friday and today I didn't see any Pro Max's show up at all. In the past you could check at around 5-6am local time, is that still the case this year? Also seems like you just have to refresh constantly throughout the day and hope that you get lucky.

Every year around this time is usually when it is usually hard to find. Just like today. a 1 TB 14 Pro max in DP showed up in stock at the apple store near me (yes they have received 8 units). Literally in 5 minutes, all 8 were sold out. You have to make it very quick to buy it.
Also it it doesn't matter what time of day. It just depends when Fedex and UPS decides to deliver it to the store.
Considering that the factories doing most of the iPhone assembly were in a region with lockdowns just this summer, I think that there is still a considerable impact from Covid both indirectly on general supply chain and directly on the factories making iPhones.
Yes. I agree. Supplies are still constrained and inflation has taken a major hit as well.

Just saw one in Switzerland but it was gold and 1to. I see some PM every two or three days but always 1to and purple or gold.
I wanna a silver one with 256go. I’m even open to a 512 if it appears first then I can end with this annoying story …😥
I was even looking for a 1to but it doesn’t make sense to me and it adds anything in resell value … so it is literally money put away.
I fell my phone with jpg files that I transfer from my Sony A1 and I like to have my photo in the phone but 256 is enough for me.
I’ll give up for now and try again end November. Just annoyed with the battery life of my 13 mini…

How hard is it to find a purple pro 128 gb ? I keep seeing purple pros 256 gb popping up here in Germany but no 128 gb, I don't want to pay 130 euros more on top of the 1300 euros that the phones costs (for a total of 1430 our) for space that I'm not gonna use 
My guess is that the 256GB flavor is the more popular so they make more of those, which means less inventory for the 128GB. Car makers do this all of the time, they advertise a cheap car, but its a low trim line that they only have like one or two in stock, you show up and its not there, you have to go up to a more expensive trim package.
A lot of stock coming in now. I was finally able to snag a 256GB Pro Max in Deep Purple, though I will be taking a 4-hour round trip to get it. Not exactly how I wanted to spend my evening, but at least I don't have to stress anymore about getting one before my return window ends on my 14 Pro.
Now to order a new case and screen protectors, pick up my new phone, get it setup, and return my 14 Pro and its case.
This is a lot of work and a lot of wasted money lol. Lowkey exhausting. I don't think I'll be upgrading again next year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, those who are planning on exchanging the 14 Pro for Pro Max, when you initiate a return through Apple don't you get around another 10-14 days to send the phone back? If that's still the case, should buy you folks some time.
Chicago / IL folks, 128gb SB Pro Max sim-free just popped up in stock at the Mich Ave. store! Just snagged one for in store pickup today.

I can tell you, my T-Mobile store that I work in hasn’t gotten one PM in stock and limited Pros. We haven’t received any in about a week though.
Sounds like there is a shortage of the high end units as the demand was high while the owner end units did not sell as well. I do not think Apple had a lot of 14 PM units ready to sell as there are none anywhere.
Yes, you are correct. If it's an online order, you can initiate a return label on Day 14. Once you do, you do have 14 days after you initiate the return to ship it. So technically you have 28 days to use the device.
Found a 14 Pro 128 gig in space black at my local Apple Store today after days of checking every day.
A good bit just popped up in stock in the Atlanta area and I was able to grab my girl a 256GB Purple Pro Max. Just have to keep checking because they come and go so fast.
I got one! Was refreshing all day today and was able to order a 14 Pro Max 128GB in Space Black! That was the exact configuration I was looking for, so I didn’t have to settle for a different color or pay more for storage space I won’t use.
Similar to @xxray I was worried about being able to get one before my return window ends on Friday. I don’t want to mail it in so it’ll be easier to just return it to an Apple store.
