Almost thought about buying a 1TB but slap myself into reality

Will take a bunch for me to get TB. It would have to be a Max and Purple or Black and would at least need to be another week not being able to snag anything else. And only if it's in the closest store

Quite a lot of phones in stock today. They disappear fast though. Almost got my 128GB SB PM unicorn, but alas by the time I logged in it was gone. Literally 5 seconds.

If you add it to your bag and just keep checking for one in your area it will secure that phone for you . That’s how I went from my 128gb sb pm to a 256gb sb pm

Yes, it was already in my bag. I just had to select the store and then login again because I guess it logs you out after a while automatically. It was gone by then, like I said literally 5 seconds.

I definitely had one in bag once and it just disappeared. Wish it would just give a timer like concert tickets do. And it's so much easier to search on the web. You leave the app for a few minutes and you're all the way back to the beginning. I can go back to the webpage a day later and hit enter for the zip again, and it will search like i never left.

Yeah, I saw a good amount of stock all hit at the same time at a few different stores and mostly hold for about 30-45 min earlier today. Unfortunately, none were Deep Purple unless they were 1TB or 128GB and they went much more quickly than the other colors.

The only thing I don't like about the website is if your installments aren't showing paid, it gives that generic VZW policies error without any details. On the app it states you have a balance. Better clear soon. Paid it off 5AM Friday, but Apple still isn't updated

This was me! I ordered 256GB, but afterwards decided I wanted 512GB. I waited too long (not even a day on the weekend) to make the jump and my "only" option was to go 1TB. 🤦‍♀️ It is definitely overkill and I feel ridiculous, but I got more space. 😂

Crazy , I had mine sitting in the bag for a few minutes . Opened another tab and Checked the site for inventory and it said none in stock anywhere. Then I clicked buy or whatever and still had it . Good luck guys

TB are the only ones that appear on in store searches and actually last more than 30s. Not desperate enough yet to pay that much more though

I wonder why some stores seem to get stock more often than others. Are they just less busy stores so they sell out less quickly? Are they busier stores so they get more stock allotted to them?

My guess is that while Apple may receive some shipments here and there. I'm going to guess that next big one will be on 10/6/22 as Apple store will receive shipments for the 14 Plus for Friday launch. Just my guess.

The hunt is finally over. Grabbed 512GB PM Space Black for pickup tomorrow.

Wanted a 256GB but couldn’t do the checking and refreshing any longer.

Quickly grabbed a 256GB Silver PM at one of the local stores, 25 miles from me, around 10am online. The nearest store (5 miles) has nothing for the past few days.

I would suggest to start checking the inventory from 10am'ish your local time, and refresh every 20-30 minutes. Adding your desired iPhone to the cart would be a head start - then all you need to do is to check out, select "Store Pickup" and Pay.

What an absolute disaster.

So Friday I find one 14P in stock at a store an hour away from me so I order it through iUP and do courier delivery for Saturday between 1030am and 1230pm.

Saturday comes and I can see the order is out for delivery one minute then the next it days delivered. Which obviously doesn’t make sense since the store is over an hour away. I panic and call apple and they say the courier cancelled the delivery but no worries let’s call the store and see what we can do.

They call the store and I ask if I could make the drive and just pick it up myself, they said absolutely no problem come in. I drive the hour, they make me wait 20 minutes and they come out and tell me they really shouldn’t be giving me the phone since the pick up name is the couriers and not mine but they would make the exception but that I should call apple to get my courier delivery fee returned So I leave, get home and set it up and it’s perfect.

I call Apple and all hell breaks loose. Apparently they are NOT allowed to give a courier delivery phone to the customer directly and the store shouldn’t have done that. They can’t mark the phone picked up because it was technically not by the courier. The Apple rep calls the store and asks how we can resolve and they are like we can’t, there’s nothing we can do and the order will get refunded even though I already have the phone.

So the apple rep and store rep literally get into a huge argument because the rep was trying her best to keep me from making the hour long drive back to the store, they were going back and forth for 30 minutes on how the store messed up and this is not good blah blah blah. So I need to make the drive all over so they can essentially return my phone then let me rebuy it which results in ANOTHER credit check. It’s just so ridiculous. I asked if I could keep the current phone and she said “in theory” but I would most likely have to replace it so they they happen to have one more 256spb PM so she put it on hold.

The Apple rep apologized profusely and she was great about the whole thing but man what a cluster****, so today I’ll head back up and see what happens.

Small update. I made the hour drive back up and they told me originally that since the phone wasn't picked up in the system they could just redo the purchase with the same phone that I had already restore with all my data and it would be fine. Halfway through the process it came up and said the phone was sold and could not proceed. So they had put another identical phone on hold for me to buy. Which I now have.

I say this because the iPhone checker and Apple App Store did NOT show any inventory at all at the store yet they had phones in the back they were able to hold for me. Maybe mine was a one off case because of the issues I had previous and they did it as a favor but I highly suggest giving the store a call or going in directly because you never know.

Now I am dealing with ANOTHER headache because my original iPhone 14 that I returned was linked to my iUP for my iPhone 13 and when I returned that 14, I got an email that my trade-in was cancelled. I have called multiple times to try to explain to them that they need to re-link the trade in to the most recent iPhone 14 Purchase but I keep hitting walls. I emailed Tim Cook because I know that gets sent his exec team for review. Hopefully they can get it situated before they ship me back my iPhone 13. So not only have I spent just under 5 hours back and forth of driving, I've now spent an additional 3 hours on the phone with apple so far. Loving this drop so far haha

While I don't need to keep looking but I decided to just for kicks. 1 TB 14 Pro max DP did show up in stock at the apple store near me and they had received like 8 units and in 5 minutes all were gone.
