notice any difference in photo quality? low light?
Good question, haven’t really pushed the camera to see how it really compares but what I have seen is some pretty nice photos. Here is a definite area to go pro if you need the best camera performance, that’s one reason I went with the 14 PM. The thing is I haven’t really used ProRAW much or low light capabilities.

Sooo, after returning both the reg 15 pro and then pro max, I think the best phone this cycle is the 15 plus, this is the one I’m keeping…. Went from a 1.7k invoice (PM 512gb Apple care) down to a 1k invoice (Plus 256gb) with the switch

Benefits

Endless battery
48mp camera!
Matte glass on the back feels like a pro now!
Lighter than pm
Easier to hold than pm
Aluminum looks better than titanium this gen
screen is easier on eyes
Feels just as fast as pm
Design feels better (I got black)
Feels new due to the dynamic island

Cons

Missing telephoto (I have old 13pro still and canon r6 with real telephoto lenses)
Missing promotion (not a deal breaker)

Keep in mind I’m also keeping my original 13 pro to swap back to on the weekends

Weird generation when this might be the best choice!
No pro motion ? That’s a deal breaker. 60 hz refresh rate? Yuck. I mean i dont want to be rude but the pro max is worlds better than the plus. It’s not even close IMO

Smart, you saved a bunch of money on it. I feel you on the telephoto lens, but really...the cameras are so good these days that even without it it's not a huge deal.

I chose the 15 Plus over the 15 PM last fall. It was $300 less, 20 grams lighter, and the screen was just as bright in direct sunlight. My eyes cannot detect ProMotion so that is a non-issue for me.

I have loved the 15 Plus, but I will be getting the 16 PM next month.

My previous iPhone was the 14 Pro and the loss of the always on display has been wildly irritating in the past year. I simply never want to own an iPhone without it ever again.

I'm also confident the 16 PM will have a brighter screen this year, and that's a big deal to me as I spend a lot of time outdoors in sunlight.

Lastly the larger screen will be welcomed.

It won’t even be able to get Apple AI.
