Shellrus came in yesterday. Borders look thin! Holding out for the imos to show up to compare before I throw one of the two on

Can you share a Picture with a closeup to the Sides/Edges? Or maybe also with a case on it. I am also still waiting for my Hoda to ship. I hope I will get it before Nov 5 as I will be out of country for a month and I miss the sapphire touch experience.

Was on my way to buy Belkin from Apple but since everyone recommended Spigen's Glas.tr EZ or whatever its name is, I've just purchased one pair of Spigen. They made my iPhone 15 Pro Max's screen look "cheap" basically. I always use new iPhones for a day at home without screen protector to feel and interact with the real screens of the iPhones and after doing that, I just put one on my iPhone and immediately noticed the decrease of the screen quality. Yes, it does protect the screen. But does it preserve the original quality of the iPhone's screen? Absolutely not. Does it reflect light a lot? Hell yes. Am I happy with it? Hell no. BTW I'm open to premium-built screen protector recommends.

I would also like to see images of the best buy protector. Does it come with a decent alignment kit, etc?
It comes with an alignment kit. I found it easier to apply without it. Photo attached.

Do you have pictures of the best buy protector installed? It looks like it’s similar to belkin and does not get close to the edges?
It is not edge to edge. But most of them aren’t. This is the only non edge to edge that I’ve tried that didn’t also have bubbles on the edges. Ultimately it came down to those bubbles on the other protectors was making me not enjoy my new phone.

That is pretty similar to the QHOHQ brand I got off of Amazon. There are several other brands that are similar and generally those don't have bubbles. I think a lot of people here are looking for a true edge to edge protector that doesn't have bubbles or cutting off the image. So it isn't really the same comparison to the non-edge to edge protectors.

this thread seems ot have gotten more and more confusing. do we like any of the screen protectors at all?

Torras and WSKEN seem to be in the lead.

Torras cons:
* While minor, it eats into screen sides

WSKEN cons:
* Has a weird earpiece cover
* Probably eats into screen sides too but I haven't seen anyone talk about it

Edit: Comment below says neither of these are issues so I guess WSKEN is better? I would imagine the oleophobic coating varies between protectors so it's down to preference at that point.

I'm personally waiting on a refund from Torras and then plan to try out a WSKEN.

WSKEN doesn’t cover the earpiece, it is just ‘tabbed out’. And it does NOT eat into the screensides. At least not noticeably, in contrary to Torras. Torras did say they will improve the screen protectors.

I can live very well with the tab on the WSKEN. The feel is good and it is very edge-to-edge with the FineWoven case.

Thanks for clarifying. I'll update my comment and link to yours.

Question: are the edges rounded off? Nice feeling when you swipe from an edge?

I can’t really judge that, as I always use my iPhone with a case. I am currently using a FineWoven and also have a Torras Diamond Mag. Especially with a FineWoven case, you don’t notice the edges and it feels like you are touching the glass of the iPhone.

I never use my iPhone caseless, so I simply just can’t compare the feel of that.

I've had my Torras Diamond on for a week now. As someone who has never used a screen protector on any phone before this thing is great. I don't use a case and it is genuinely hard to tell that there is even a screen protector on the phone. Not to mention the really easy installation.

When they will improve later this year and avoid the screen cutting, I’d definitely give them a try again. The oleophobic coating of that thing is amazing.

The best one right now is Torras - ease of installation, oleophobic coating, durability, and coverage. Slight downside is dust at the edges, but every protector I’ve tried has this problem. The others have too many negatives. Good luck!

Just to call out the durability of the Torras vs other options: in this video comparison, WSKEN performed better with the ball drop test breaking at 7ft vs Torras at 4ft. (Timestamp @ ~1:18:40)

I stand corrected: it seems the earpiece is covered. I didn’t know that, because I never noticed any problems with it. Also, I thought it wasn’t covered as there still is a very small gap. But it seems that’s to make it casefriendly, then.

i can't stand wsken's circle around the camera that's a deal breaker for me.
There’s a version without camera circle, but with covered speaker.

Not available in the US at the moment, though.

Several iPhone 15 Pro products have got nifty 'bubble free' installation kits that the iPhone 14 Pro versions don't have. I'll be updating soon to 14 Pro. For the sake of no bubbles, I'd like to use 15 Pro product. Do you folks think this is doable? Any cause for concern?

These kind of products will full trays likely will not work as the 14 pro is marginally bigger in dimension by about a mm in height and width. The trays likely will not fit on the previous phone. The screen protectors themselves also have black borders so I don’t know how the content being blocked would be but I imagine the protector themselves would work fine.

I’d go with spigen protector made for the 14 pro line, or plenty of cheaper options on Amazon with the standard alignment trays (I used a single esr protector that worked well the entire year without scratching or damaging much - my wife is now using my 14pm with the same protector and I still have the two spares)

I've installed several brands of screen protectors on every iPhone since the 4S.

Avoid the TORRAS, it has black borders that covers the edges of the screen. It's also definitely not "Bubble-Free", both protectors had bubbles, which is crazy since it's $25! Returned to Amazon.

Next I tried amFilm. No black borders and no bubbles. At $7.50 it's 1/3 the price of the TORRAS.
