Sheath
Hence my recommending the Gen 6, which is far, far more protective. My only concern is god forbid an amusement park drop.
Black, yes yes yesMy Paragons (black and ruby) should be here either today or tomorrow. Will share pictures if anybody is remotely still interested lol
IMO Ultra Hybrid T is better choice!Yeah, don’t get the love for it. Very cheap looking and feeling.

Yup. I’ve been rocking it for 4 months now.Benks Prestige Pro, one of my favorite cases this year. Slim and light (under 40 grams), with good protection, a great fit, excellent buttons, minimal fingerprints, and it’s very comfortable to hold. Just a really nice all around case.

The ultra hybrid was better for the 15 series. I don’t like the new sides. But to each their own.IMO Ultra Hybrid T is better choice!
Unfortunately I am based in UK and can’t buy Caudabe to see the quality and I use Ultra hybrid T, Ryan London and Paragon (no CC button)
I don’t see a reason to buy more cases this year![]()
What’s different with the sides as I can’t tell? The ultra hybrid was better for the 15 series. I don’t like the new sides. But to each their own.
They were matte for the 15, shiny for the 16.What’s different with the sides as I can’t tell?
The nonexistent screen lip along the sides of the Paragon is bizarre. I can see having zero lip on an 18 gram ultra thin case, but a full coverage 50 gram case that is rated at 15 feet of drop protection needs more than that. Pitaka did the same thing on their “military grade” case. You have to wonder what they were thinking. After two and a half months I received the black Sheath and moonstone Paragon. I used to have both with the cc cutouts.
I’ll start with the Paragon. The moonstone is not a popular choice, but I like the contrast with the black phone and the iridescent look under bright light. As others have pointed out the lip, apart from the corners is non existent. I don’t remember if it was as much in the cutout version, but the thought of dropping the phone and having it hit an object on the sides scares me. The back is slippery, but the sides have enough grip to compensate. The cc button, although mostly useless for me, feels weird and I feel it is more recessed compared to Apple’s or Spigen’s implementation and found it harder to use. Or maybe because it is slightly off centered, my finger misses it somehow. So, although I won’t be using it, I can’t say it’s perfection, per Caudabe’s claims.
The Sheath. I think that it is complete with the cc button. I love the texture and the right amount of grip for my hands. It feels simple and looks minimal but at the same time luxurious in my eyes. The cc button here works better although I found it lagged in comparison to the best ones out there. Was, is and will be my favorite case along with the Apple silicone.
I haven’t had the time to try the ember buttons I also got. As soon as I do I’ll post pictures. I think the moonstone will also look good with the black buttons.
Right now I’m still waiting for the gray Sheath and black Paragon which hopefully will be here in a couple of weeks.
As regards the comparison between the Sheeth and the Tineeowl, I would say they are as much alike as they are different. The Sheath has a more rigid structure, better buttons and in my opinion looks better. The Sheath material texture feels more rough, whereas the Tineeowl is smoother. I really enjoy both but if I had to choose one, money aside, I’d go for the Sheath.
Sorry for the lengthy post.
It has raised corners so the screen won't touch the floor if it lands face down. The nonexistent screen lip along the sides of the Paragon is bizarre. You are right about that. I think, however, that they should have accounted for screen protectors and have slightly more raised sides, as rarely do people not use one. I’m sure that there is no actual reason to feel worried and indeed the screen protector doesn’t touch any surface when putting the phone down facing the screen. It has raised corners so the screen won't touch the floor if it lands face down.
Has anyone actually tried a Paragon without a screen protector fitted? Becuase it might be that there is a slight lip for the screen but not a screen protector. Even in the pic above, the screen protector looks exposed, not the phone screen.
I have had a paragon previously and had not issue or felt worried about my screen protector, let alone phone screen
