I got my tineeowl almost black for 16pm yesterday in the mail. It is a nice case, but in my eyes not the same level in terms of quality as the sheath. The material is much softer and flexible and in my case ( maybe a defect) the ring is quite obvious as are other parts that seem to have not been fully filled during manufacturing. To be honest, these only show under sunlight in certain angles ( see pics) . I cannot replace or get a refund as I’ll leaving the UK soon. So, coming in at 35 euros (with import fees and shipping) I can’t see it as a cheap alternative to the sheath for European people.
Why cant you get refund?

If it is below and upto £25 Amazon dont like international returns. They will just refund you.

I’ve been on the chat with Amazon US three times already (very bad experience with representatives not understanding what the issue is, the chat being constantly reassigned to another representative and my having to explain again…).

They only offer a refund on condition I return the product. They’ve initiated a return. That is not an option right now however as I’m flying back home from the UK tomorrow morning and dealing with a return is the least of my worries. I’ll deal with it when I’m back from the trip.

Anyway, I’ve sent an email to both Amazon and Tineeowl themselves with these pictures.

Could you or others who own the the Tineeowl check for similar blemishes? As you can see from my pictures, they are only noticeable under sunlight. In the third picture you can’t see it’s there.

dude you bought an inexpensive case and expect perfection. just enjoy it for what it is. there’s a reason it’s priced so low.

Mine is fine, no indents. I’ve actually had more problems like this with the Sheath and the Phone Rebel Air.

If this type of defect bothers you, I would suggest sticking with cases with a rigid backplate. Pure TPU cases are almost always going to show these kinds of indents, if not out of the box, most certainly over time.

Nope, mine has none of these blemishes or marks whatsoever.

Get out.

it doesn’t matter whether it was £20 or £200.

That case should not look like that when brand new out of the box.

A brand new product should be in perfect condition. Durability and if it stands the test of time due to its price point is another matter.

Really really poor post and opinion, that.

No issues here. Both Dusty Lilac and Almost Black cases are perfect.

Simple and great 👍

Been rolling in the black sheath all week with Ember buttons, and I’m not mad at it. The only con I see with this case is weak MagSafe, when I have the phone attached in my car and hit a slight bump, the phone flies off of a MagSafe mount, not good.

Funny you say that. I have had my Paragon since last Thursday, and while I wouldn’t say that MagSafe is bad, it definitely seems a little weaker than my past Caudabe cases.

I just got the Spigen Liquid Air T today, and it immediately feels excellent. I had one of these years ago before MagSafe. I forgot how it really is almost the perfect size to not make the phone much bigger. I remember when the Sheath was close to the same footprint. I actually think slit buttons can be better than separate/floating buttons sometimes. The Sleep/Wake button is a bit clickier on the Liquid Air T versus the Paragon.

All in all, I think the Paragon and Liquid Air T could be might top 2 cases so far.

So here’s the question- phone rebel gen 6 ultra or Caudabe sheath for a week long trip to Disney world?
I would say Sheath as the fingerprints on the Gen 6 drive me insane ;)

What happened to Phone Rebel with their orange colored CC buttons? Guess they are dead in the water.
