Nice, when will you have it?Guess I’ll just have to post my grey sheath with the ember buttons when it comes in then.

Amazon eats a lot into the profit margin. It’s circa 30% for a business to sell on Amazon, once all fees etc. are taken into account. For a big company that’s something you can factor in. For a niche company like Caudabe, that can often mean the difference in staying afloat and not. Caudabe isn’t operating with the same sort of scale and orders as other famous case brands - often they will have other products/threads of revenue. But Caudabe is dedicated case brand.I think they don't sell on Amazon as returns are easy there. Maybe if they upped the QC that wouldn't be that much of an issue.
I think it has more to do with returns and scams from Amazon. Caudabe used to sell on Amazon back in the day. Eventually they would just sell the older cases they had in stock there. There are plenty of small business dedicated case brands that sell on Amazon such as PhoneRebel and even when Pitaka was starting out. Caudabe has been around for awhile(2012)and they saw the how a small community in forums such as this one with the addition of social media influencers could grow a brand by following the DBrand blueprint. Both companies started around the same time. However, it's not that easy when you have to create your own product versus just laser cutting 3M vinyl stickers...the profit margins greatly differ. DBrand definitely invested heavily on influencers to grow, but that's a whole other rant for me elsewhere. Caudabe quit Amazon when they were small, but now they could probably afford to take the hit after years of growing their base following. People here are buying every color of the Sheath every year, even if there were issues. They don't improve anything while raise prices and y'all keep buying...I guess I can't blame them for not wanting to add buttons or trying to lessen the weight, it didn't affect sales, so why bother. Look at TineeOwl, never even heard of them until it was posted in this thread and never even talked about the previous years. I wonder how many TineeOwl sales from those looking for a Sheath alternative were made off Amazon, just from this thread.Amazon eats a lot into the profit margin. Phone Rebel and TineeOwl are a couple of examples of small case companies selling on Amazon, and so far they both seem to be doing fine. The higher volume probably offsets the lower margins, plus some.Amazon eats a lot into the profit margin. It’s circa 30% for a business to sell on Amazon, once all fees etc. are taken into account. paragon is the only caudebe case i like lolCaudabe should’ve released an upgraded synthesis with cc button instead of the paragon. They would’ve sold a lot more. Paragon sucks.
It’s their best case IMOparagon is the only caudebe case i like lol
Yes this is true - it helps offset but also, those companies will be willing to take the hit in profit to gain the customers. It’s a decision for each individual company to make. It’s one I don’t lament Caudabe for though. Amazon is a race to the bottom. The majority of people who go on to Amazon to buy a case are NOT buying cases at £50-60 a pop. They’re looking for your £20 or less price point. So I totally get the business sense to opt out of Amazon.Phone Rebel and TineeOwl are a couple of examples of small case companies selling on Amazon, and so far they both seem to be doing fine. Yep, the Synthesis was my favorite Caudabe case.Caudabe should’ve released an upgraded synthesis with cc button instead of the paragon. They would’ve sold a lot more. Paragon sucks.
Push the button out of the case and then refit it.I had high hopes for the TineeOwl, but the camera control button seems off a little. My camera keeps triggering with just a gentle squeeze of the case, like normal grip level squeeze. It's definitely not a case of holding it wrong as the issue did not happen on my Apple or Spigen CC cases.
Do you like the feel of the case in your hands?Just got my Paragon. Anyone else have odd behavior with the Wake/Sleep button? I had to push the case on very hard to get it aligned with the phone button. All the buttons have very little movement to them.
This is my first Caudabe case with the machined buttons. Are they typically very firm buttons?
