Received the matte black Arc Pulse today. Much prefer the look over the graphite, which presents almost like silver on the black iPhone. The black is more stealthy and far less ostentatious.

What are you on about. Never had it on a case and have tried most of the brand name cases for years.
Nomad traditional I have now does not.

This can be improved by simply gently bending the case up at this part when not on the phone, typically. Unless you got a complete lemon with th a bad cut-out; rare and unlikely most of the time. No doubt later ones may be cut fractionally differently to improve it slightly, but not the massive problem being implied here.
I guess they'll send you a replacement anyway if you ask them?
Ones that are similarly constructed have had this issue, yes. I've owned the new iPhone every year, so have been through cases galore. The Nomad (I had one last year, that's the same this year's, is nothing like these).
He said he tried it and was selling it, so yes that's technically used. But whatever.

The Pitaka Pro and Otterbox Cactus Leather for the 15PM also had that gap. It’s lazy design and poor QC. I expect it on a sub-$20 case but not a “premium” model from RL, Pitaka, OB, et al.
It’s my understanding that a large majority of the leather cases on the market are made by the same handful of suppliers in China. The companies that rebrand those cases for sale here are likely at the mercy of those suppliers and their production schedules.

I've had ones on previous iPhones often costing more than that with it, as the cut-out on slimline cases is really tight.
That's why Nomad doing one would make sense given how they make their leather ones as thicker mixed materials. But I guess we'll have to see if they bother doing one with the CC button this year or not?

The grief Apple got for charging premium prices for FW last year was totally justified as per many in here but usb-c port gap on RL cases for a premium price is acceptable now lol.
