iPhone 16/Plus/Pro/Pro Max cases [MERGED]

Struggling to find a simple leather case similar to what Apple used to provide. That’s all I want. Nothing bulky, just simple and minimalistic. I’ve seen a few different brands posted here but does anyone have a personal preference like mine, and if so, what did you end up going with?

Maybe too “flashy” (some anyway) but Vaja case has been my go-to for leather iPhone and iPad cases for years. They are expensive but beautiful and quality.

And no negative impact on brightness, etc.? The 92% light transmission bit gave me pause. I'm sure this is the case to some extent with all of them. Just haven't used one in a very long time.

I saw zero impact on brightness ...I would def recommend the armorite series

This thread just reinforces how much I hate cases. They all cheapen the phone’s look.

That’s a purely subjective opinion and let’s not forget we haven’t bought a Fabergé egg, we’ve bought a smartphone that sells in the tens of millions. A case for some of us hides the phone enough to make it less tempting to thieves, and is also the difference between a working phone and smashed phone.

Does anyone think manufacturers will actually change the case designs to cover the camera button ?

Also is anyone considering a Vaja case , they look nice but also have that extra opening along with the existing ones.

i ordered a grip case for the 16p. no sense in ruining a 20+ year tradition of buying a case from them. i like the openness of their cases. i can see the iphone, feel the buttons and i’m slightly inflicted with ocd so wiping the screen is easy as there are spots open to not get things in the edges of a case. no need for my trusty little brush. and i have never scratched the open areas. i’m just trying to think of a way to box that initial leather smell and ship it to @Hooterville.

somebody a few pages ago asked about the dbrand grip case. i bought one the last two years. it offers great protection on both sides and to me feels great. i stopped using it because it had a weak magsafe connection, even last year where they claimed it was stronger. i also got tired of the weird shape. it’s kinda thick at the top and thinner at the bottom. one cool thing is you can change up the skin and easily get a new look.

ESR doesn’t really think Australia is a viable market. None of their latest cases or protectors are ever listed on Amazon AU.

Just received my new Speck Candyshell Grip for my Black 16 Pro! Overall it feels pretty solid and I really am digging the matte texture and color combo. the cutout for camera contras much better integrated than many other cases which simply created a rather abrupt cut in the case that doesn't flow with the rest of the design. Can't wait to use it!

You probably don't need to worry about that. The bigger problem is how quickly the Apple case will deteriorate.
