Since I returned the Air, I went ahead and bought the Black/Grey Pitaka for my 17PM. Have the "Sunset" Pitaka coming in a couple of weeks. Still, considering the Purple Tech Woven, finally I have an Andar Aspen coming as well.. (Tech Purp) Sticking with my Motca Matte screen protectors at the moment, great fit and look

Hopefully yours takes a direct route, unlike mine which went ‘round the world in 24 days… lol.
Shape and form are different of course to accommodate to the new design and new seasonal colors but material is the exactly the same.
Material is much different as well as @Sal09 has observed as well. Saying the silicone hasn’t changed is not correct mate.
Mine is actually moving a little faster this go around. I really hope I get it and this will be the last time I deal with Süti.

Love this. I used to exclusively use the Mothca matte. Always really liked them; they scratch semi easy but super cheap. Have sunset Pitaka for my 17 Pro and really enjoy it.
I really want a Sienna Tech Woven for my Orange Pro Max. Sold out everywhere unfortunately. Think I'm gonna get rid of my black silicone.

I feel like every year everyone who likes Apple silicones cases goes through this placebo effect that it’s improved material and different but it remains the same.
I’d love to see where it is described (not just simply observed) as a much different material and I’m not talking about all the “liquid silicone” rumors that were talked about before the release that Apple has made 0 mentions of once officially released.
Only difference from last year is that it’s 45% recycled silicone vs last year’s 55% recycled silicone.
Hey if there’s anything I’m missing or that I don’t know please let me know I just think hyping a case purely from your observation and saying it’s a much different material with no real proof behind it is a bit misleading.
Also this not to steer anyone away from silicone if you love them you love them and there’s nothing wrong with that, just being factual that’s all, all love! 😉

Last year the same things were said about an improved material but it was still just as much as a lint magnet, sticky, corner wearing mess as they always have been despite my best efforts to want to like them.
If there was a change or improvement then I think Apple would shout about it tbh.
In my experience, they absolutely do not stop picking up lint for the regular in and out the pocket user and it may feel like it does for people who swap their cases out a lot as they don’t use them consistently enough. Or of course, they don’t put their phones in their pockets regularly
Someone I work with got one of these recently. She is a handbag/on the desk phone user and they deteriorate very quickly
I felt it as well. It’s different this year but like i always say try it for yourself and then decide rather than listening to others.
Its day 3 and Im still rocking it.
I did try it, it’s exactly the same, they already went back but glad you’re feeling something different this year and enjoying it that’s all that matters really.
If there was any change or improvement in material. Apple would shout about it, 100%. They shout about every little change, in anything.
They are such nice cases, some like them and get on with them, some don’t. Everyone uses their phones in different ways; for some they’re durable enough and don’t pick up lint, for others, they’re horrible sticky lint magnets.
I don’t think we should be shouting about a change and improvement in materials which could end up making people waste £50 of their money if there is no proof or official evidence of it.

Exactly that. I’m enjoying it and that is all that matters.
Maybe my pockets have less lint than others. Or my hands are less oily. Feel is definitely different for my OCD.

Another day another case ... Just got my Native Union Active Case delivered early this morning.
It's a good all round protection case that protects the plateau on the Air as well, which I like. But the side rails will get get shiny when pulling in and out of the pocket I feel as it is already showing scuffs. The feel of the case is a solid tactile feel but it is a lot more ridged than say a leather case which im used to.
The plastic covering the camera plateau isnt 100% smooth either.
Passes the USB C port test with flying colours and the buttons feel nice to push, the camera control is a little recessed, but very useable and responsive.
I'll give it a few more days and see how I get on with it.

Yeah agreed as well, doesnt really feel that nice compared to my Torro case that I have been using for the past week or so. I'll give it a go today and see how I feel. I have already messaged Native Union about the scuffs and imperfections out of the box and see what they say. Worse case is that I will just yeet it back to Amazon UK
