All Mine came with scuffs out of the box.

That back feels worse than PU Leather tbh.

Still on the fence about mine (PM, not Air).

I like the back. Only grip texture on the whole case.

Got my xtremeskins order this morning and they have messed up the order too. They have only sent me 1 of each one that I ordered , Black Leather and Clear black gloss when I ordered 2.

Also the leather one that I ordered doesnt look like it has been cut out properly.

Someone I work with got one of these recently. She is a handbag/on the desk phone user and they deteriorate very quickly

Interesting. These are temporary anyway though. I originally wanted a leather one but didn’t find one I liked.

Xtremeskins Mulberry. Not my best install but it'll do.

Was previously on blue lagoon but scuffed it.

Wanted to go Matt Clear as per tradition. But didn't have the patience for a wet install, given the return to rounded corners this year.

Will probably swap out the Mulberry in 6mths time to switch things up

That looks like a perfect installation. Nice job! I’ve always been too nervous to do a full skin because I’m afraid I’ll screw it up.

Also, this is now the second case where metal sits right on top of the CCB….

The ESR cases I have here have a cover over the metal on the inside. And all the cases from Apple do, too.
How is the inside of the button on other cases here?

I suspect this tbh.

Last year the same things were said about an improved material but it was still just as much as a lint magnet, sticky, corner wearing mess as they always have been despite my best efforts to want to like them.

If there was a change or improvement then I think Apple would shout about it tbh.

In my experience, they absolutely do not stop picking up lint for the regular in and out the pocket user and it may feel like it does for people who swap their cases out a lot as they don’t use them consistently enough. Or of course, they don’t put their phones in their pockets regularly

Mine stops picking up lint after a couple days. I also put my phone in my pockets quite frequently and still fine from my experience

I felt it as well. It’s different this year but like i always say try it for yourself and then decide rather than listening to others.

Its day 3 and Im still rocking it.

I agree as well. I use the silicone cases every year as my case and notice a difference in feel. I even compared it with the feel of a 16 PM case I never used and it feels different. I already loved them last year but this year even more. My techwoven case is going back and I’m sticking with the silicone!

Midnight Silicone. I do wish they kept the Ultramarine colour they had the for 16 Pro silicone case, but this one is still nice too.

I feel like every year everyone who likes Apple silicones cases goes through this placebo effect that it’s improved material and different but it remains the same.

I’d love to see where it is described (not just simply observed) as a much different material and I’m not talking about all the “liquid silicone” rumors that were talked about before the release that Apple has made 0 mentions of once officially released.

Only difference from last year is that it’s 45% recycled silicone vs last year’s 55% recycled silicone.

Hey if there’s anything I’m missing or that I don’t know please let me know I just think hyping a case purely from your observation and saying it’s a much different material with no real proof behind it is a bit misleading.

Also this not to steer anyone away from silicone if you love them you love them and there’s nothing wrong with that, just being factual that’s all, all love! 😉

I never go by numbers or percent it’s user experience for me. This years feel is indeed different for me. It’s all about user experience. A company can say this and that but until you have the opportunity to experience it that all means nothing.

If there was any change or improvement in material. Apple would shout about it, 100%. They shout about every little change, in anything.

They are such nice cases, some like them and get on with them, some don’t. Everyone uses their phones in different ways; for some they’re durable enough and don’t pick up lint, for others, they’re horrible sticky lint magnets.

I don’t think we should be shouting about a change and improvement in materials which could end up making people waste £50 of their money if there is no proof or official evidence of it.

Just as @Sal09 stated I’m enjoying using it. Feels much difference for me in a good way. Just my user experience.
