Well ladies and gents, after waffling back and forth with the Air and PM for 2 weeks, I decided to stick with the PM. Ran the Air for a week straight and while being a stunning device, battery anxiety was a real thing. Have a few cases coming on Monday and will share. Good thing I kept these cases sitting around 😂

Caudabe Synthesis in Frost here today. IMO, this case is absolute perfection. I like everything about this one. Hopefully Caudabe will fix the finish on the black Synthesis and I will re-order that one again also.
This is my favorite 17PM case so far :)
Just praying the Sheath & Paragon are this good. Here are a few pics:

A few have said this case feels very thick and blocky….guess you don’t feel that way? I’ll have to order one for myself to check out.

Those of you with the suti back how are you liking it? I’m intrigued by it as a minimalist option.
I am still digging my Siti silicone Alpine Orange for 17 pro. It’s heavier than it needs to be. This may be due to the MagSafe magnet, which is very strong. It is back heavy, but that wore off after running it. They are thick but the Suti integrates (curves) with the edges better than the others.

I guess you could say the sides are kind of square and boxy, IMO not a problem at all. The fit, finish, buttons, frosted back and feel in the hand are top notch. YMMV :)
Plus, no rainbow effect on the Apple logo.

Have people been seeing the same with the sheath on the iPhone 17 Pro/Max?

I find myself coming back to this case more often than others.

I can certainly understand why you went with the PM if battery is a thing. I must be a lightweight…

I did try it, it’s exactly the same, they already went back but glad you’re feeling something different this year and enjoying it that’s all that matters really.
It’s not. It’s much different. User experience for me and many others confirm. That’s what it’s all about.

Nothing was said by Apple. Which if there was an actual difference they would definitely state it as they are all about selling details and marketing.

I was just giving the only difference that was written from their product description that’s all.

Anyway as long as you’re enjoying it and you feel something is different that’s all that matters, I totally agree about user experience! 😉
Yup, I never go by a description on anything or from anyone. Just user experience. That’s real life. Cheers.

Back in the Apple Clear case today. This case is nothing like the prior iterations—this one is softer with much better buttons and hand feel. It’s also super light at 21 grams. I love it on the Air, which gives me iPhone X and iPod Touch vibes—so light, so comfortable, just perfect.

As for my other cases, the Andar Aspen is lovely, and will be my go to for travel, outdoorsy type stuff, etc. It weighs 37 grams though, which disqualifies it as my daily on this device.

The Beats is not bad, but at 32 grams and with a fairly slippery finish, it can’t compete with the Apple case, so it doesn’t make the cut and will end up on the Marketplace.

The Süti, at 41 grams, is just ridiculously heavy for a case that provides virtually zero protection (IMO, obviously). It also doesn’t make the cut.

Still to come this month are the Pitaka Moonrise Ultra-thin (20 grams) and the Arc Pulse (<20 grams) in polished silver. We’ll see, but I’m betting these two will make the permanent rotation.

So, the Aspen for certain situations that require a bit more protection and grip, then rotating between the Apple, Arc, and Pitaka for everyday use. I won’t be adding any beefier cases, which in my opinion defeat the purpose of the Air. Overall, I’m feeling pretty good about the case situation, and my wife is pleased that I’ve gone from nearly twenty last year down to under five keepers this year… lol.

Had a go at installing my xtremeskins and it turns out that the leather one did have the correct cutouts. Looks alright with my Torra leather case , but not quite the right grain, but still looks alright. Took me a while to align it just right though. The black glossy one is no good as it is already scratched up.
