Are we sure this isn't the iPhone SE (Slim Edition) and not the iPhone 17?
Surely 'iPhone Air'
Honestly, I wouldn’t be opposed to them just having the regular 17 and then the two sizes of pro. This search for a well selling fourth option just seems a little unnecessary considering sales numbers of the plus and mini over the years.Strange. So this is aimed at people who want a bigger phone than the base model and the non-Max Pro, but prioritize low weight over anything else? Are there that many people who want that?
Almost sounds to me like they're struggling with their "fourth option". Polls on this site reveal the Plus is the least popular phone of the four models, just as the Mini was. People want the base model, it's the cheapest and gets you in the door of the new technology, and they want the Pros. But they tried "smaller base model" and it didn't sell well. Then they tried "larger base model". Now they're trying "slimmer base model". Maybe this time they'll strike gold?
Bring back the SE2 but powerful my old man would love it.
I see complaints all the time that the iPhone is too heavy. Not for me, but just give everyone an option to make them happy. Why thinner? I don't hear people complaining about their phone being too thick, they're frustrated the battery dies so quickly...
Apple's motivation for this: The "slim" phone costs less to make, because it is not filled with an expensive battery. Why thinner? I don't hear people complaining about their phone being too thick, they're frustrated the battery dies so quickly...
Is this a typo? If not, that would be quite a departure from the existing model. It would mean the Slim would either be gaining a third camera or losing the ultrawide.Apple is planning a so-called "iPhone 17 Slim" model that would replace the Plus model in the lineup. Pu said this model will feature around a 6.6-inch display, a slimmer design, an A18 or A19 chip, 8GB of RAM, a 24-megapixel front camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera.
We do NOT need to go back to slim phones! Keep the same thickness, optimize internal space and add bigger batteries!
I would gladly see slimmer and smaller phones that can be used with one hand and fit pocket. We do NOT need to go back to slim phones! Keep the same thickness, optimize internal space and add bigger batteries!
The SE3 is not the same size as the SE2? I'm talking here about smaller size phones just like the iphone 4 not about phones that "pretend" to be smaller. The SE3 exists?
