yup they said mine would be the first to ship and i am on the greatest priority level:)

they said it was some customs issue and it was not shipped to them by the regular method which the use and hence the delay:eek:

I ordered mine on the 30th so if all goes well I should not be too long after you and then I can cancel my order from Hong Kong.

for me with exchange rates its costing the same as my 589GBP handtec order
 
That's true, and we factored this in. With eBay sellers there is no comeback if something goes wrong. We are an Oxford based business. Furthermore I have contacted MacRumors to offer forum members an exclusive £50 discount, but am yet to hear back.

That would make us cheaper than eBay!

However, I cannot implement this, or sell to anyone on the forum (or I guess tell you the name of the website?) without prior permission.

If abthegreat has being waiting since the 25th and his/her order is high priority i think our orders won't be here for another week at least.

It would seem handtec have screwed up on this big time and they need to do something fast to stop customers from cancelling their orders.

I am tempted to cancel mine but would not gain anything from it as it won't be for 7 days that I hear about my order from HK.

now thats direct from apple, if apple has problems with supply then everyone will.

That is true and I totally agree with you.

But then Apple would not give out false hopes or promises about your order. If Apple say it will ship in 5 days then from my experience it will ship then if not earlier.

Now with handtec over the past 2 weeks have told everyone here that in the next few days there will be deliveries, next week there will be deliveries and so it continues on and on.

As a customer I would much rather them tell the truth about when they will definitely expect stock than to keep telling me in 2 days or next week like they are now.

I get the feeling handtec have no idea at all about their stock and I would highly expect they have delivered no iphones whatsoever to anyone.
 
Guys I have just called handtec and asked them about my order and when or if it will be delivered and this is a summary of what the guy said (feels like they are working from a script!)

1. Not really any chance of getting it this week
2. Maybe possibly here by next wednesday
3. Very small amount of stock coming in
4. No timeframe for any large deliveries coming in

Honestly guys it's not looking good at all

ok, aggreed. My problem is everyone around me now has a iphone, which has been JB and working fine with anther network.

I'm the only one waiting for an unlocked iphone.

it is tempting to cancal my order and goto car phone warehouse.

Yup its confirmed they have no clue of what they are doing,so i am looking for the ebay australia and canceling this 2morrow
 
This is the response i got:

1) Can't give me a fix date (was going to, but i think somebody asked him not to), but he said likely 10 working days!
2) Asked him how many people before me. He said 40-50 :eek:
3) He said, if i call latter in the week, i will have a better chance of getting a definitive date.

Summary: same as before :(

This email is an exact copy of the last email you sent me last week with the same response about limited stock, more next week. I would appreciate a more 'personal' response as I am losing faith in your companies ability to keep me informed about my order status.

Is there any guarantee whatsoever of your company getting stock this week?

I was told by Mark it would be 2 weeks before I get my order shipped which will be tomorrow I understand there is a backlog with the orders and would like a genuine time frame on when or if I can expect my order to be shipped.

I look forward to a prompt and personal reply.

I have had a few problems with supplies lately as my supplier have let me down on a few occasions.

However i would like to state that you will have your goods delivered to you without delay this week or i will personally give you a £30.00 refund.
I am certain to have stock by wednesday/Thursday.
