Is it just me, or have O2 removed the option for unlimited data on their Simplicity plans?

I see only unlimited Wifi.... Grrr

I've ordered a 32gb iPhone 3G S PAYG which I should receive tomorrow..

can't wait now :)

going to give my 3G to the mrs... even she's looking fwd to it :)

SOmeone who might be able to help...

Do you know if there is ANY speed difference between the PAYG vs the contract SIM and data plan ?

I've made 2 thread on this buy nobody has replied... I just want to rule this out so I can make my decision of which one to get.

Do you know the cut-off times for o2 next day delivery ? ( or have you ordered through Apple )

I was told by o2 on the phone today that the cutoff for next day is 4:30pm.
Oh and they only have black left in the 32GB, incase anyone cares :)

afaik the "speed" in terms of 3G will be the same... the 3G S will only benefit from the faster hsdpa is some areas of london. check the o2 overage map..

i didn't order through o2... rather give my money to apple :)
i ordered on saturday and it was actually sent to the couriers on saturday but they didn't do a thing with it till this morning... and its scheduled for delivery tomorrow :)

so... i hope you can make a decision now, and i hope you buy the 3G S :)

Mine's also due for delivery but UPS its taking its time. So annoying as i have errands to run like ship my 3G which i just sold. Grrr.

On another note it seems total cost i've paid for the phone is £163 without any 18 month lockdown. Not bad, not bad at all.

Im sat at home waiting for my iphone to be delivered. It is being delivered by DHL and all the status says is 'out for delivery'. Does this mean it will be delivered today?

I want it now......

The UPS man has just left me with my 32g black 3gs and its activating at present. The PAYG sim says must be activated before end of February 2010. I am using my contract sim and will let it revert to PAYG when that runs out. Presumably the PAYG year will start to run from that point onwards?

did you have to use the PAYG sim to activate the phone? or can you put your existing contract sim in and then activate it?

i would assume your 12 months free internet starts from the date the PAYG sim is activated. I would only activate mine when contracts runs out..

Used my contract sim and it activated immediately. The PAYG sim is still in the envelope, which will keep til next year.

No problem with syncing at all.

Where the hell is my phone, I've been up since 8am waiting. I've got to go out at 3.00pm. Im so impatient!!!! As i have upgraded from the 3g and have insurance with O2, will my current insurance just carry over onto the 3GS?

Are there any actual tests to prove any of these results ?

Sorry, don't know the answer to that one.

I very much doubt that there is any difference, but have you considered a PAYG iPhone with a Simplicity 20 Sim card. It's excellent value for money and works well with the iPhone.

If you choose the Unlimited Web bolt on as your free bolt on the only thing you lose over an iPhone contract is Visual Voicemail and Call Merging (assuming you use your PAYG sim card to register for 12 months free wi-fi with BT Openzone and the Cloud).

Just under £20 per month for all that is pretty good.

Is there a way to ring up dhl to find out an estimated delivery time?

There wasn't last year - my 3g came on launch day - but not until 5:40pm!

I tokk the day off work and got up at 7am! I get home from work at 5:30pm so I could have saved a days leave!

Was not happy!

They'll just give you the bog standard 'between 9 & 5'. The problem is we've probably been marked as the last zone of delivery meaning we won't see our phones till 4/5pm
