ITS?
Use the following link to find a hotspot then log on and surf the net to your heart's content:

Just a heads-up about the BT Openzone service: you can only have 1 device's MAC address registered with the service at a time. This means that if you've upgraded your phone, the first time you try to log in to an Openzone hotspot it'll ask you to text "wifi" to 2121 to reset the device registration and allow you to log in with your new phone. No problem, you say, but unfortunately the reset process takes about an hour. This caused a brief episode of swearing and fistshaking from me at the airport recently when I wanted to use my 3GS on the Openzone wifi to kill 45 minutes before a flight...
My daughter and I have just got back from my local O2 store. I was going to get an iPhone 3GS as a present for my daughter.
They said they did not need to do a credit check as I already have an iPhone, but then said that as I have had not had an account for long enough (3 months) or I have had a direct debit refused they cannot let me have another phone.
I have just upgraded from an original iPhone, I had a contract for 17 months (you can upgrade 1 month early) and never had a problem with direct debits (and could prove it there and then with my bank statements).
But they were not interested and would not do a credit check. That was it as far as they were concerned. I think that they had messed up in the early contract end and new contract start, even it was 17 months to the day but they would not check.
It was straight out of Little Britain - "Computer says no."
It was so frustrating knowing that I was not at fault but they could not be bothered to even try and help and my poor daughter can not have the present she wanted.
We desperately need another carrier in the UK, it will give Bl00dy useless O2 a much needed kick up the @rse.
Hi guys,
I am hoping to get a 16gig white PAYG 3GS on Friday and was wondering how the availability is on that model at the minute? I see a poster above has had issues trying to get hold of one and the shipping on apple.com is "5 days". I would be looking to purchase from the Trafford Centre Apple Store but could get it from one of the O2 stores there or even the Apple Store in Milton Keynes if push came to shove.
My mates dad tried to get one this weekend. He spoke to someone in the local O2 store and was told they're not doing the PAYG iPhone 3Gs as it's still new and it's normally about 6 months before phones go on PAYG. Funny how his son has one though! Went on the O2 website and they're only advertising 32Gb on PAYG so not sure how you got yours DM.Hi guys,

I went to a Junkyard to find parts for my truck and a iPhone 3G was sitting on the floor of a truck. Someone got in a wreck and no one grabbed the phone afterwards.

I have one question, can I buy an iphone 3GS without being UK resident?.
I'm from spain and I'm going to London next week in holidays, so I expect to go to a O2 shop, apple store, carphone or I don't know where, to buy and iphone 3GS in a pay & go plan.
I hope I can buy one without having a UK credit/debit card or making a contract.
The Pay & Go iPhones over here are locked to O2, so you wouldn't be able to use one of these in Spain.
You will need to purchase an unlocked one - you can get them on play.com but they are very expensive.

Or he could JB and unlock it himself??
A quick question about the monthly O2 iPhone plans:
Is it possible to use my monthly text message allowance for international texts? The O2 information are a bit misleading, basically it is stated that you can use your free texts for any UK network and abroad...
Thanks for help
