External storage is far inferior to having all internal. It's noticably slower, not tied into the internal storage and you have to manually manage what is going on the internal and external storage. Big PITA.

Noticeably slower? Not so for me and I've tested larger games and navigation apps with maps galore in both places. Speed is the same.

Storage wise, I don't have to manually manage anything. I have camera, pics, vids and music & movies (which are primarily why I need more storage) already configured to store on my MicroSD Card. There's ZERO PITA with it.

No way I'd pay $949 for a 128gb version when a Note 4 32gb & a 64gb card can be had for far less. why apple doesn't allow for a simply Micro SD Expansion still puzzles me. I love having that capability as I can store my full 1080p movies on their for watching on hotel room TV like I'm going to do on my next trip to Vegas for work.

Not sure how you could forget a phone that big is in your back pocket. ;):D

You have seen my backside  Yes, I have sat down on it in my car and feared it would get broken, but nope, it's been fine.

when I can text from a Windows PC that nearly every business uses, let me know. I use Airdroid at the office all day and never have to pick up my phone.
I have OSX. Never use Windows and never will, I understand your position(I also sometimes use Airdroid)

open to being wrong, but I don't see this with iCloud on a Windows machine and an iPhone in my hand. Compared to my Note 3 that is drag and drop all day with no issues.
It is between Mac's won't be different with iPhones. Btw for me so far iCloud drive has been reliable.

I just think both notifications and widgets on my Note 3 are far better than my iPad Air.
Fair enough I disagree about the widgets and find the lock-screen notifications(plus the banners) better on iOS.

I don't have any iPrint capable printers thus part of the problem. On my Note 3 it will connect to any wireless printer without issue. Perhaps at some point iOS will allow such a simple thing too.
Agree here, it's absurd I have to buy an Apple recommended wireless printer to do something simple like that when my Nexus 4 prints out wirelessly without much problem.

Answers in bold.

I'm angry about the lack of continuity on windows pc's for use at work too.

I could buy a Mac for personal use sure, but my workplace can't go Mac, likely ever, and most workplaces will never.

How are they making more profit? If you previously would've chosen 16GB, it's still available at the same price. If you want 32GB, for the same money you would've previously spend, you now get an extra 32GB. The underhanded move by Apple would've been to not offer 32GB and keep the 64GB price the same as last year.

Yes, I would've loved to see them start with 32GB but it doesn't cost you any more this year than it did last year to get the same amount of storage.

But now there is a much bigger disparity between the lowest end and middle. Now it forces me to get the 64GB model. Apple was very smart about this lol.

I'll be picking up a 64GB Space Grey iPhone 6+

Thanks!

Yeah I have a early 2011 MBP and a late 2013 rMBP with an iPad 2 and I spent around 3-400 dollars in the appstore over 3-4 years so using a Nexus 4 was fun but I know an iPhone belongs in my pocket.

If I had the money, I would also buy a new Moto X cause that thing is starting to grow on me:)

Yeah I get that, it's a big reason why I will likely always stick with the note line. Got the tablets and the gear. Spend too much to go back to apple but I do like what they have brought out just not for me. Love my back button, widgets, removeable battery too much to switch right now. I'm glad apple have gone this route though. It's about time and finally they give users choice.

It will fit in well with all your other devices. But ultimately we are tech junkies so will always crave the latest and greatest.

Not sure if you have checked some of my past posts but I was getting pretty desperate, I was begging for a bigger screen almost!

Truly. I wish other guys were like you guys. You understand that it's ok for a person to buy Apple and still be a tech enthusiast in contrast to other people that suggest only dumb people buy Apple products.

Its why I left the iphone but would miss the features with Android but I think alot just wanted a bigger screen. Holding my mums iphone 5 was just soo small but things like that are bound to feel small when you are used to 5+ screens. Bet it will be weird for you to start but you get used to it.

Now for me even though I have a 5.7 inch device it just feels a normal size now. I honestly don't think I could go for anything smaller ever again.

Yeah going from a 4.7" Nexus 4 to a 5.5" will be a big jump:eek:

When I wrote apple always gets it right it's a fact. It was supposed to be sarcasm but I realize now I didn't write it that way, sorry about that. Obviously apple doesn't get it right all the time. But they do a lot of the time for me at least.

Big screen, NFC, copy and paste. Is there ANY ransomed feature you won't cheer for?

What next? A standing ovation for wireless charging in 2016? Block parties for widgets bigger than emoticons? Balloon drops for a smartwatch you don't control with a knob like a Mickey Mouse watch?

Apple has never tried to be first with commodity software features. They have tried to be right.

And plus, anyone who says Android had mobile payments for 4 years can drown in a lake. They can count on one hand how many times they've used NFC to pay for something. Big fricken deal. You can thank Apple for bringing it into the light.

How exactly is Apple bringing this into the light when it's been out for years.

Hell, banks have had that. Softcards? ISIS? (unfortunate name these days).

How is it so many people can ever even hint at the idea of Apple copying something? Like it holds any significance.

They invented everything you use today in tech.

Both phones on in the pic in the OP are based on the iPhone which was invented starting in 2003.

Any petty evolution in something is just insignificant to the big picture.

I dunno how people constantly think like this.

Same with iPad.

The Samsung watches are all just based on the fact that Apple was gonna make some, nothing else.

The whole world is shaped by Apple, why can't people realize how ridiculous the idea of ever bringing up such comparisons are --saying Apple copied an aspect of something on something that is a total copy of initial concept in the first place.

Apple invented your whole world, how cheap can you be to take jabs at little things like that considering the context of how they shaped our society?

Its such a sad display of jealousy every time.

We're getting a phone that doesn't lag like Android smartphones. Enough reason for me to go back to iPhone after using Android for three years now.
The HTC One M8 doesn't lag at all. The Android version at least, no idea about the Win 8 version.

So let me get this strait. You consider screen size to be a gimmick?

Let me remind you what the word gimmick means as apparently you have forgotten how to read.

gimmick - a trick or device intended to attract attention, publicity, or business.

That is the definition of the word gimmick.

Screen size has a legitimate usefulness. Where as your NFC that you had for 20 years did not. That was a gimmick because there was no use for it. When you have a technology that android invented, even though there is no company named android, and there is no use for it or to hard to use that is a gimmick.

Question: Do you like going thru the 3-5 screens to make your phone a flash light? A very useful thing to have by the way and very frustrating to go thru 3-5 screens to get to it.

Answer: Trick question. There is no flash light functionality on android you have to download a POS app to do something as basic as a flash light.

Mean while enjoy going thru your 3-5 screens just to "customize" your phone. It must be nice to have all that free time to spend 3 hours customizing your phone instead of actually using it.

So these great updates are gimmicks until Apple does them eh? Nothing new here....

That's because you're use to it. You don't see it because you never used anything else.

I was in the same boat as well. I use to think android was amazing.

What changed? I had to setup iphones for people. Iphone 4s to be specific. It was so smooth and the web browser actually worked. On android the web browser would freeze up, crash, or lock up the phone. It was really annoying.
I never used my phone for anything other than a phone. Because that's all that worked on it. Games would crash or not be available on my android phone. Yet my friend has it on his android phone. I had to upgrade my phone just so I can play the same game he had.

It's a constant cycle.

iPhone? Buy an iphone and it lasts forever. I never had the browser crash on me. I never experienced my phone lock up. I can use my phone and actually buy apps and it works.

Why do you think web traffic is dominated by iphones? :apple:

The HTC One M8 doesn't lag at all. The Android version at least, no idea about the Win 8 version.

I'm an apple fan.... But your a bit extreme there.

Let's just ignore the whole world comment. To ignore the contributions Google has had on mobile is ignorant (one could argue Google has had a bigger effect on the world as well). Hell... One needs to acknowledge blackberry while they are at it.
