So u prefer iOS on tablets. Ok. But again I'm asking about phones. You obviously prefer android for your mobile phone. That's good. But again why have both if you obviously prefer android or in this case Galaxy? What about the iPhone is appealing where you'd keep it, a 1000 phone even though you much prefer the Galaxy?
You said it before, best of both worlds. I know many people incl. Family who own both Galaxy and iPhone. My mother has a Galaxy S6 and a iPhone 6S, she prefers iOS due to its simplicity and loves Safari, but finds that the S6 gets better signal and is more versatile, i.e. it connects to our home HP printer easily and allows her to deal with more file types. So she uses the S6 for almost everything (Calls, Whatsapp, documents etc...) while she uses the iPhone 6S for content consumption (web browsing, reading news etc...). Her favourite OS is iOS but to pick up where it lacks she uses Android

It's the truth though. I can own an iPhone or any phone for that matter and still be interested in other brands. But to buy a phone like the iPhone which in our case is 1000 to be curious about is fine. But why keep it if you own another phone that in your words blows away the iPhone in hardware, you're happy with the software as well. To the point where you post threads here proclaiming how much better the Galaxy is than the 6s plus. So why keep the iPhone? It's a simple question really. What about the iPhone do u like that makes you keep it that the Galaxy doesn't do?
It's true...i can own several phones and have a PREFERENCE. It's a simple answer really.....

The same way I can own several differents phones by different companies.....

Why don't you own a flagship Android phone? You are here in the alternative section all the time. Why would you be here so much of the time....and not own one?

You're still not answering my question. I'm not trying to be rude. It's a simple question. Sure you can own phones and have preferences. But if you like the Galaxy enough to praise it in forums and post threads on its superiority to the iPhone, what about the iPhone 6s Plus makes you keep it even though seemingly you can do everything you want on the Galaxy?

Anyone that likes tech more than the average person has their preference for a daily driver, but still wants to experience diversity in their devices.

Also, nobody is claiming iOS or the iPhone as bad. What some users in these forums fail to realize is that, most criticism towards the iPhone is not to gloat, but because we would like to see some of the countless features and hardware designs implemented by Apple.

Again...i don't have to justify my buying preference to you or anyone else. i have said this numerous times. Are just trying to be difficult? did you not understand?
Here it is for you in plain black and white......please follow along...

I like different phones....so I buy a LOT of them. I switch between them all the time. I keep them all because I want to......

Same reason I travel by car, motorcyle, and bicycle. Cause each has their pros and cons according to usage, and I like them all.

Sure. So it's why I'm asking what are the pros of the iPhone vs his Galaxy? To want to keep the iPhone.

Ill play - I like ios update structure, lack of carrier interference w/ the software, stellar standby time and just general efficiency of the software, dont need to troubleshoot wakelocks or apps that run in the background draining your battery

on android I like the freedom and the ability to do things your own way, there are many ways to do the same task and you get to pick the best way for you. It 'feels' more like a pocket computer. Even though I just moaned about android apps running in the background, androids more robust background multitasking is still an advantage - even if it can be a pain at times. it leads to things like tasker, pushbullet, and other third party integration (like backing up photos w/ any app other than icloud on ios is clunky) that isnt as robust on ios.

Alright then I can understand that. So u own both an iPhone and an android phone?

I read that he likes tw to the point of over stock android. His Galaxy never lags or stutters, carrier bloat can be disabled, and by his account his edge battery life is just as good as his iPhone. Obviously he loves the Galaxy hardware, so why keep using the iPhone?

Sadly I can only justify one set of daily driver devices. I am ios now for both phone and tablet, but have some old end of lifed android devices with cyanogenmod marshmallow. It's fun to keep up to date on stuff

Yup, same here. While I can appreciate what's offered in the newest Android devices, neither of the top devices (6P or S7) offer anything at this point that's enough to entice me away from an iPhone (it about the software for me ;)) and I only have/need a single line.

I do still have an LG G Pad GPE on lollipop and Nexus 7 (2013) on marshmallow--Nexus is currently acting as a media server (I guess 'casting device' would be more accurate) in the family room to serve content to our Chromecasts (waiting on a set of Chromecasts audios to set up multi-room audio playback). I'm also seriously considering picking up a Pixel C with the 25% discount but really want to only use it after N is a bit more stable so I'm waiting a bit on deciding on that purchase.

Ouch, that's gotta hurt.

I'm sure reduced motion and background refresh for all apps were turned off on that iphone 6s+.

Dead Trigger 2 from 2013 that hasn't been optimised ...

A selective example to validate a fallacious generalisation / claim.

When people update MS Windows or buy a new PC, games don't need to be "re optimized". Why does this happen on iOS? Seems like every iOS update breaks games.

Games have been known to cause access violations in video drivers for example. And Windows programs are not policed by Microsoft. You can download any program from anywhere with any interface elements and design and any Api and no one cares.

It was factory reset.. So no, all at default setting. You're not trying hard enough.

Of course it does not break. Game runs fine. Just when a new phone comes out with a new resolution, that game did not will know about the new resolution.

Pretty sure there have been quite a few games broken by major ios updates some are never fixed and just pulled, I'm curious what is actually going on there too.. You would think they could have some legacy compatibility mode for older apps

Would be hard as a dev to proceed with aaa or high investment game titles to have it completely break in the next major ios.

Ok. So what about the iPhone do u like vs your other phones? Because I really don't know.
really that's surprising...i have posted here in the Alt section so many times. Others here have read it.
So why are you here in the Alt section posting in every Samsung thread? You have professed to have a dislike for Samsung and Android in general. Yet here you are participating in just about every thread? Why?

Why is my phone useage or phone buying habits any concern to you? Why have you taken a personal interest in me?
Right now I have a Galaxy S7, Nexus 6P, Huawei Mate 8 and a Lumia 950 XL and a 6s+
I think have an exposure to multiple mobile operating systems and is a great way to educate myself. It gives me a great overall understanding and better knowledge of mobile phones. Their UI and features and pros and cons.

So again why are you making this personal?

Wow the the a9 really obliterates the Samsung s7. Kudos to Apple, they even put it in their new midrange the iPhone se.

Btw what some posters call variables others call it great engineering ;).

Maybe Samsung can offer some real competition with the s8, or maybe not. Sales and time will tell.

It's not personal at all. I'm asking you a simple question imo. You've already called me a Samsung hater, which I'm not, but that's a mute point.

What ui features on your iPhone are pros vs your android phones, in particular your gs7 edge that make you keep it?

Let it go man, he answered you over and over and over and over already. Your so-called "simple question" has turned into an interrogation.
