WOW you can predict the future. But you know what they will actually do.....
Make it thinner, but essentially the same design
Add a proprietary headphone jack and spin this is better somehow with Jonny Ive v/o
Better camera, better battery, better CPU
Offer a new color
**Applause and lines start forming***
I agree with a lot of your post, subjectively though:No doubt Apple wins the SoC and RAM management. Basically iOS v Android is iOS is basically a horse race where one has to carry only 100 lbs and the other 115 lbs and add maybe 15 pounds more if a skin is involved.
A9 is at least year one year advance than Snapdragon and I believe A10 Fusion will still dust the Snapdragon 830 next year. Now let's talk about other hardware aspects and it becomes a different story...
Best phone design - Huawei P9 Plus (ceramic white)
Best cameras - Samsung Galaxy Note7
Best battery life - Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (Exynos)
Best display - Arguable
Best audio - LG V20?
Best value - OnePlus 3 and Apple iPhone SE
Best overall - Samsung Galaxy Note7 or S7 edge
Display is tricky since not everybody loves OLED. Not just burn-in and oversaturated colors, but also PenTile arrangement and pixel color fading.
If you study phones and watch numerous amounts of phone reviews like I do, you will know Apple might be the best at some areas but not the best in everything. Even comparing between iPhone SE v 7 v 7 Plus, they each have certain flaws. I just don't get why iPad get most of the best multi-window features but iPhones don't while Nougat will have it for many Androids.
There is list of things on what I don't like about Android. There is a longer list on what I don't like about iOS either. Like I hate using iTunes or hate how annoying Apple forces us to update which eventually slows down our phones. Or sealed batteries and no expandable storage. Whatever feels right for you.

Sealed batteries is the classic form vs function.
Right, there is that benefit; a sealed compartment which actually allows the iPhone 7 to have better waterproofing in practice than the galaxy.Don't sealed batteries allow for better waterproofing on phones? So at least, there is a tangible benefit there.
you just like that loooonnnggg press, which cannot emulate peek and pop as in the email application.I disagree

Best audio does not go to iPhone 7. Cirrus Logic DACs aren't that great, especially the tiny ones they've put into the lightning-to-3.5mm dongles. And as for the wireless side of things, Bluetooth quality just flat out sucks.Don't agree. The camera in tests is the Pixel as the winner with the iPhone coming in second.

The iPhone 6s has better audio than the 7, and by far.
Rofl who gives a crap about the built-in speakers? Unless you're one of those people who blast music in the subway.Actually yes it does because it has Stereo speakers. I believe that is what was mentioned and the thinking on the iPhone. And also, the iPhone allows you to get your own high quality headphones utilizing it's own DAC now compared to other phones, so it in a way is better.

It's also to stop consumers from whining that their phone is dead or acting strangely because they used an aftermarket battery. The reason the iPhone and some Androids got rid of expandable memory is because a high speed MicroSD will not come close to the long term reliability and the speed of an onboard memory system. In the olden days of Android, you could move a lot of apps to the mSD card, now you can't. Because people would buy a phone, fill it up with videos and pictures of their pets and children, and buy a mSD card and throw their apps on that. Then they'd whine that their phone sucked or the app sucked because it was as slow as molasses.Don't sealed batteries allow for better waterproofing on phones? So at least, there is a tangible benefit there.

If someone offered me a choice between removable batteries and waterproofing,I would take the former.By a longshot. Its sad that the only relevant flagship which has it is the V20 whose Android skin is horribleDon't sealed batteries allow for better waterproofing on phones? Or maybe its because it has no headphone jack
As an iPhone 7 Plus user here,I can confirm Peek and Pop is pretty much useless for me.I tried it out on WhatsApp and Outlook but I dont like tiring my fingers pressing that hard.My usage of the phone is pretty much onehanded and holding a 5.5 inch phone in one hand and putting pressure on the screen all the while hoping that the phone doesnt slip out of my hand like the soapbar that it is enough trouble in itself .
You can keep that gimmick for yourself.
Oh and guess what? The launcher shortcuts which emulate 3DT functions will be coming on $300 Android phones soon as a part of 7.1 and they come *stares sadly at my iPhone 6 which doesnt get any*
The launcher shortcuts in 7.1 and split screen on Android phones in Nougat
You nailed it.I need to press harder on the screen to activate it.On Android its a long press with no pressure which I prefer.Regardless the problem with both these features is that I need to remind myself to use them. Most of the time my thumb memory is to open the app so I really dont find both ways all that ground breakingThose are launcher shortcuts, not 3D Touch. If you didn't use them on the iPhone, what makes it any better on Android?
3D Touch is another way to interact with the phone, whether Apple has made it any useful is up to you, but 3d touch does not equal menu short cuts or peek and pop, 3d touch means being able to press harder on your screen to interact with it.
Rofl who gives a crap about the built-in speakers? Unless you're one of those people who blast music in the subway.
And no, making you go out and spend hundreds more for the right kind of headphones is not "better." The best headphones in the world are not, and will likely never be, shipping with lightning. So in a very massive way, the 7 is so much worse.
If you really must talk about the built-in speakers, iPhone 7 doesn't even come close to the original HTC One.

Except we have 2 of them in the family? When you say "best audio," you naturally have to talk about the built-in DAC as well as the built-in speakers. Nitpicking one of the two can't win you any arguments. Thanks. Have a great day. Love you too.I enjoy the dual stereo speakers. It's one of the #1 complaints many people have on phones and apple listened and gave everyone stereo speakers. It's great when watching youtube videos.
Lol you obviously have no experience with the new iPhone 7. Have a nice day.
Glad you clarified peek and pop is useless for you. I use it constantly, something I would lose on android with loooonggg press. Full functionality and speed of 3dt will never be available in android without force touch. If someone offered me a choice between removable batteries and waterproofing,I would take the former.By a longshot. Its sad that the only relevant flagship which has it is the V20 whose Android skin is horrible

Exactly. With iOS 10, 3D Touch has become even more crucial for how I interact with my iPhone; things like moving the cursor around text, replying to notifications, app shortcuts, etc., and all without a long press delay. I don't think I could downgrade to a phone without it. It's infinitely more useful than Samsung's traditional gimmicks like, oh I don't know, an edge to edge palm-magnet I mean displayGlad you clarified peek and pop is useless for you. I use it constantly, something I would lose on android with loooonggg press. Full functionality and speed of 3dt will never be available in android without force touch.
Looonnnggg press has been around for years. I have to untrain myself not to press hard on those phones that done have 3dt.You nailed it.I need to press harder on the screen to activate it.On Android its a long press with no pressure which I prefer.Regardless the problem with both these features is that I need to remind myself to use them. Most of the time my thumb memory is to open the app so I really dont find both ways all that ground breaking

About the 3D touch thing...3D touch is much faster than lloonngg press, and that's why I prefer it. If it makes your thumb hurt then you should seriously consider a gym membership.
