I'm another Jet Black 7+ 128 buyer, quoted the initial 1-2 weeks, 9/26 to 10/3. Think I was finally able to submit my order at about 12:08 PST.

I'm in agreement with many others that most of us in this timeframe (1-2 weeks) will surely have our deliveries sooner than what's currently being quoted. However, really hard to tell at this point how soon that will be. I'm wondering if they are allocating a majority of these devices to retail at first, because it just seems hard to explain that virtually no one was quoted a 9/16 delivery for a Jet Black 7+.

I've also seen the threads/posts regarding expedited shipping but I really just don't want to bother with that at this point. I worry it could A) actually cause an issue or delay with my order since it's not really well known even internally at this point B) really just don't believe that anyone is getting anything BUT expedited shipping since Apple historically always uses expedited options via UPS/FedEx. It'll be interesting to see how the 7+ Jet Black deliveries turn out, seems we're in a separate crowd than all other iPhone 7/7+ pre-orders in terms of expectations this year :\

I was getting the 7 plus, black, 128 but I got buyers remorse today and canceled the order. I was upgrading from the 6 plus and I just couldn't justify the payment to myself. The only way I think I would have gone through with the purchase is if I could have had it on launch day which would have at least given me that first day excitement but buying it within a minute of it being available wasn't enough, I would have had to wait until the first week of October for delivery. The initial thrill of the idea of getting a new toy faded today and I decided to save my money cause the change is so incremental that once I got a sec to think about it I realized it wasn't worth it.

Side note: I've used the Apple Store app the past 2 years and it's been money. Anyone else have this same experience? I constantly try to get thru on my Mac, with 2 different browsers, constantly refreshing, with no luck. But I've gotten through on my Apple Store app and it's gone fairly smoothly the last 2 preorders.

Yeah, I think the Apple Store app is the best way to pre-order devices

Was great for me last year and was great for me this year. Launch day 128 GB black 7 Plus.

I'll always try to order through the app.

Ordered my iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black 256gb via AT&T website at 12:40am PST with an expected ship date range of 9/30 through 10/7. I decided to check the status tonight through the AT&T website and it is in the "Preparing to ship" category. I hope "Preparing to ship" means I'll be getting it earlier than expected. I believe the same thing happened last year when I ordered my iPhone 6S Plus 128gb Space Grey. It had an expected delivery date a week or so after launch day, and I ended up getting it on launch day.

It's been the go to the last few years.

Even ATT's app on my iPad opened the store faster than my iMac.

Exactly. Haha don't worry, bubble not fully burst yet. Similar thing happened last year and I still got it on launch day so I'm hopeful. I just noticed you ordered yours about an hour before me? Didn't realize they were available on ATT website that early. I only checked ATT website to order after having nothing but problems with Apple website and Apple App.

For those worrying about their phone not saying that it is prepping for shipment or that it hasn't shipped don't worry. Multiple times when getting a phone on launch day these same threads have started and my phone has been 2 or more days behind and I have always still gotten my phone on time.

Those of us waiting on the jet black phone, just keep your fingers crossed that we will see some shipping action by the middle of the week. I'd say if there is nothing new by Wednesday, then it probably won't be here til the following week.

I find it a little odd that I have a 3 day range versus a one week range for shipping.

Anyone else have similar this year or in the past?

There also were many people's whose status never even changed and they received their phones on launch day.
