Hi there - what time did you complete your order? I've ordered the exact same model/configuration about 8:05am UK (just as UK pre-orders began), was given the same 6-8 ship timeframe but delivery not until 27th-29th September. Hoping they deliver it sooner!
Nice..my experience with iPhone release days and rerouting for pick up at a UPS location was totally different. It was like EVERYONE had the same thought process. There were so many people waiting they had to break the line into two lines, one for iPhone pickups and the other for regular UPS business. Ha, I was near the front of the line, still a great little Apple like experience on a much smaller scale.
I've got a shipping date of Oct. 04-Oct. 10 and ordered it around 3:15AM. I was hoping I'd get the phone launch day, since my 6+ got severely bumped up a few days before release, but I highly doubt I will see this phone until early October.
Oh no! If that ever happened to me I'd just wait at home watching Netflix all day.
The order process for the iPhone is confusing and a little irritating on how they fill orders. Me and a friend of mine ordered the exact same phone configuration:

and we have different arrival dates. The weird part is that I completed my order 12 min before him and mine doesn't arrive til a week after his. Apple didn't have a reason for this....

Does anyone know why we can search for the UPS tracking by reference but Apple won't give us a tracking number? My order still says preparing for shipment but I've been tracking that it already shipped.
UPS flight 99 leaves for Anchorage in about 15 minutes, anxious to see if we made that flight.
Maybe just a system delay.. or they will update the status 2-3 days before the 16th.
I think some of the supply constraints are due to the only two options available for black as the color of the front of the phone. I don't want a white front so the only options are Jet Black and Black. Didn't want Jet Black due to the ease of scratching, so I really didn't have a choice. If I wanted a 32gb phone with a black front, I wouldn't have a choice either. I use a case so the color of the back of the phone isn't that important, but the front is. Really wanted silver with black front.

:20 in (store was down for first 13 min here on the east coast (Tampa) - mine sez 2-3 weeks til ship - same as anyone buying today.

Only reason I don't think mine would be on there is I only have an arrival scan at Incheon, no departure scan yet.

For every past iphone, I have always pre-ordered thru AT&T and received my phone on launch day. I went thru Apple Upgrade Program this time. Admittedly I didnt stay up or get up super early, but it was 5am central time which has been good enough in the past with AT&T. Since it seems obvious at this point that orders after a couple hours are going to be delivered in October what are our options? Havent I read in the past where the Apple stores get deliveries daily and you can try and reserve one of these and cancel your pre order? Thanks alot for the help!

That flight had departed and I didn't get a departure scan. Maybe next UPS flight.
