Never done Sprint. Live in an area with bad reception. Maybe go to the sprint forum?? I did that with att last time and learned a lot. Many people preordered and then found phones at the stores and cancelled preorders.
I get LTE everywhere but my house with sprint.

Hi. I have family in US and is going to purchase an iPhone 7 from Apple.com to use in Norway.
How long after the launch do you usually have to wait to buy the "sim-free/international unlocked" versions?
I can see that I have to have a US carrier to pre-order.

Buy the T-Mobile version. It's the SIM-FREE version just with a T-Mobile sim card in the box. It does not require any carrier info when preordering from Apple.

How many people who ordered at 7am on the 9th, gotten their date changed to launch day? I've seen one so far way way back in the thread.

"Not me" said the flea

That's about the time I completed my order, and it is due to ship Oct. 4-10. Nothing has changed. Still processing. Black Plus 256gb. Makes me wish I'd just sucked it up and order a pink one.

anyone with a 10/4-10/10 date seeing anything change with their order? my current phone has touch disease so I'm desperate for any sort of progress towards an earlier delivery date

nope. I can't stop refreshing the Order page every hour. still salty I woke up at 3:00am to do this and I'm somehow in the presumed 11% who have a shipping date after 10/4.

edit - before anyone asks, the 11% stat was from this infograph taken from reddit. credit is at the very bottom of the picture.

I wonder how bad Sprint is because that is my carrier.

If you ordered your phone through Apple you'll get your phone on time regardless of how bad Sprint is or isn't. Apple is supplying your phone, not Sprint. Sprint is your carrier and they charge you for service. The people complaining about Sprint ordered their phones through Sprint, not Apple. Apple does need to verify that you have a carrier before supplying you with a phone which is why you are asked to put in that info when you order.

But will it work with a Norwegian carrier? I knew this was a problem with the 5s models. They didn't support the Norwegian GSM network or something like that.

apple rep says that the manager said that 4 - 10 oct is the 5th wave :( she was really nice. I actually called for a case problem and asked about the phone.

I pre ordered the 7+, Jet Black 128gb at 12:00:01 A.M. PST on 9/09 on ATT website.
Shipping dates: October 14th-October 21st...

Does that seem right? I literally got the phone right on time.

The should consider themselves the lucky bastards they are.

no luck involved. i set my alarm, refreshed the app til it worked, had my phone saved in favorites, bought t-mobile to ensure no hangups with carrier connection, had my address and cc saved, hit buy with apple pay, scanned my fingerprint and was ordered by 12:03 (store came on at 12:03).

This forum seems to be dominated by posts from the lucky folks who got 9/16 delivery dates. Yes there are posts from others who got later dates but there's no way the launch day people could constitute a larger percentage than those of us who got later dates.

@omgisemilyward Were you really that close to John Mulaney?? What did he smell like?? Did he smell good? Tell me everything don't leave anything out!!!
yes I was! I've met him like 3 times (I'm a huge dork) but that pic was from after he taped The Comeback Kid. He stayed after in the rain to say hello to all 50 of us that were there. He was very appreciative and took a pic with almost everyone :) And yes he did smell good!!

I put nothing over than the order number minus the last two digits. If I put in the other information such as Zip, it doesn't work.

Not sure how accurate that is...

Mine still says preparing to ship with a delivery date of the 16th..

When I do the reference # minus the last 2 numbers UPS shows tracking but shows it going to Justin, TX (wherever that is LOL).. I am in California and my shipping address is correct on the order..

I'm not worried about though just don't know how accurate that method of tracking is..

Sorry but some of us who did all the right things still got screwed. It was in fact luck. It's not something you can take credit for.
