Man, its crazy to me that unless you ordered a phone in the first hour, of the middle of the night on a weekday, you won't get a phone on launch day.

I hope phones are shipped through UPS . Two years ago got IPhone 6 through Verizon delivered on launch day . Took day off to get phone . Waited and waited kept looking for FedEx truck . I saw fedex truck pull up out front . Driver hung a pre made door knocker on mail box and split. I watched him run up hang knocker make no effort to knock on door or ring bell. I hunted truck down took 30 minutes. I asked him why he had door knockers already filled out and why he made no effort to deliver package. He stated to shake and mumble his words. He ran to truck and got package and said he would take care of me in future. I was mad took package and left. Everyone is waiting for iPhone 7 to ship I'm sure there will be some stories of packages that don't get delivered because of lazy delivery drivers. Never had an issue with UPS hope they deliver my IPhone 7+ 128 gig Black!
Exactly. I saw one person way back in this thread claiming to have ordered a 7 + at 9am and is getting it on launch day. I've seen it happen in years past too. I was on vacation and couldn't wake up till 7am, so it its looking like Oct 4th for me.
Not necessarily.. I ordered at 3:03 AM and as of right now, I am out of luck for launch. Along with A LOT of other people.
This is exactly what I'm doing. I have an AT&T business account, which is not supported through apple.com. The shipping times through AT&T Premier (the business ordering site) were already delayed by a week when pre-orders began last Friday. So instead, I ordered the T-Mobile version from apple.com for delivery 9/16. I'm just going to pop out the T-Mobile SIM card and replace it with my AT&T SIM from my 6s Plus.

It's a cluster f every year. For the 6 pre order, I actually got into the ATT website 8 minutes early, had my orders done and confirmation emails by 1158, and I didn't even get it on launch day! People who ordered hours later got theirs on launch!
I have September 26th - October 3rd, but J ordered a Jet Black 7 Plus with 128gb, the seemingly worst model to choose (in terms of getting it on/near release day)

Quick question - does the reference number trick for UPS work on billing/shipping phone number or the number attached to the phone? I ordered two phones (two different numbers, of course), but under the same billing/shipping phone number. One shows under UPS, the other does not. Thanks!
